Change of captaincy??

With the changes going though your club at the moment...

Would a change of captaincy also be something to consider??

I think Mannering is a leader whether he has a C next to his name or not...

But would they benefit from a change of voice...

I was talking about it today with a work colleague... And he thought that Tommy Leuluai would be a great captain.

I never considered him previously... But I actually think he could be an inspired choice...

Thoughts??

Now is the time for Simon to stand up and really the lead the club.

Natural lead from the front type guy, but sometimes a talker is needed.

But for right now, you don't.

Definitely not now.

Why not? They want change, why stop with the coach? Mannering's record as captain includes the past two season's failures to make the play-offs. So far this year we're outside the eight as well.

Not bloody good enough.

Although I brought the topic up.... I could see why you wouldn't change the captaincy at this stage.

Too much change can obviously be even worse...

But I just thought Leuluai was a guy I could see taking the reigns.

Shaun Johnson could be another... Maybe the extra responsibility of being the leader could be what makes him start leading the team in the key moments... It's a bit left field, but sometimes the captaincy can elevate a players game.

Agreed. Maybe review at the end of the season.

You're probably right, we need sane, rational heads at this point in time.
However, what if we bomb out again this year? It's another year gone, wasted.

I don't know about anyone else but I'm getting old following this football team. It's been nearly twenty years of let downs.

We only have one life.

My father, an original fan as well, is 73. He's not going to be around too much longer.

We had the review towards the end of 2012...Where did that lead us. We ended up with Elliott. Fair is fair, we were all prepared to give Elliot a go, the players didn't. we pretty much ended up status quo.

maybe using TL as a co-captain for the rest of the season would relieve some pressure off of Mannerings shoulders.

There is some merit in changing captain, at least with all the drama going on Mannering doesn't have to lose focus on his game if he isn't captain.

The problem is we don't really have a decent option.
Friend and TL are the only two.

Definitely not Johnson, he's hardly even sorted out #7 yet.

Judging by the comments are TL and Rapira already co captain or vice captains.
I would still happy with those guys imo

Maybe they official make the co-captains as oppose to just vices
