Change of heart?

If results go as expected this weekend (ie Dragons beats Knights, Broncos beat Tigers, Panthers bt Cowboys, Roosters bt Raiders) the ladder could look like this:

7. Cowboys 25
8. Wests Tigers 24
9. Sharks 24
10. Eels 22
11. Raiders 22
12. Knights 22

At two points outside the eight with two games to go, I wonder if the Eels would have a change of heart about resting the likes of Grothe, Cayless and Cannings.

I wouldn't see any point bringing back Cannings even if we made the finals, based on the nmber of games he played, but surely they would have to be considering their options with Grothe and Cayless.

That said, be tough to drop anyone from last week. Dykes may not even be picked if fit?

Mckinnon 4 smith and Dykes for Thorman. Id leave thorman though he played so well at 5/8.

I think Smith and the gang would be thinking of finishing the season on a positive note rather than looking at a slim hope of making the finals. And the way it should be too.

Leave the side as is, Wade back in if fit. They really enjoyed themsleves and actually performed this week. Dykes wouldn't add anything to that mix except confusion imo.

On top of that, his mind in with the Sharks at the moment, not the Eels.

Surely use would choose to throw Grothe in for Graham and Cayless in for Pearson if they are fit?

I found it interesting that when they talked to Waggy on Fox (before the game at the toss I think), Waggy said Caylo and Cannings are likely back in a week or so.....was he just crapping on???

It will be interesting to see whether or not Cayless makes himself available for New Zealand for the Tri Nations.
