People's expectations of Leilua are ridiculous, he's a rookie ffs, give him a chance

Given what we saw in the ISO game yesterday, the changes, if any, will involve the forwards only.
1. Sele should be in the 17 but at the expense of who? Latimore did his job adequately, but he's not going to be anything more than what he is now. Leilua had little or no impact in the 2 games he played, however, Sele is not an edge player.
Sele for Latimore
2. Host should be fit for rd2 but where will McGregor play him? My guess is he will return in ISP on Thursday. I feel ge offers more than Leilua at thus stage both in attack and defense. For mine LL needs to show something and pretty quickly and Ivwould have him in ISP on Thursday for a full game.
Host for Leilua (but i highly doubt it).
My bench would therefore be:
LAM (prop), Sele ( prop, lock, hooker), Host (edge forward), Mann.
And I don't think Mann is concerned about it too much his body is being preserved and will extend his career. He will at some point remain fulltime in the team and get better with age I feel.So long as he gets paid per game, not per minute on the field, he’s got a pretty sweet gig..
Actually, if we did break player salaries down to $ per minute played, Mann would be our highest paid player..
Mate, you mention the scumulla’s aging forward pack and I gotta say I agree but they held their own against a giant Cowboys pack and only lost it imo due to their backs (mainly Holmes at FB which they’ll probably fix by Thursday with Duges.Sele in for the positions you mentioned. Luc keeps his spot on account of us playing the Sharks who have an ageing forward pack. I think Luc can cause a bit of damage with offloads which would be ideal to keep their forwards backpedaling whilst they are pummeled by Vaughan, Graham, Frizz & JDB. Mann takes either Nightys spot (injured neck) or Lafais spot (brain explosions). Will that happen, probably not so as harsh as it is Mann misses out as I see Sele giving us the forward utility value we need.
Hey Obtuse, perhaps you could show off your intellectual capacity and football analysis by quoting all your correct predictions about the game?A response reflecting your intellectual capacity, no less.

I don't get Latimore, even my daughter asked "who is that big slow guy" & there is no chance of Nighty being benched before McDonald. ( I'm happy to replace both, but it won't happen )For the next game, I'd like a bench of LAM, Latimore, Sele and Host with Mann actually starting the game in place of Nighty.

I managed to watch the Tigers game and I have to say Benji was on fire especially his hit on Tedesco. Besides our great start, I was hoping like hell Wests would take out the Roosters and they did!I didn’t catch that game mate. I guess I was more hoping their aging pack is one we could take advantage of but it’s never that easy(just look at Tigers vs. Roosters).
Sele isn't a prop. We need at least 2 genuine props on the bench and probably one more middle forward.Given what we saw in the ISO game yesterday, the changes, if any, will involve the forwards only.

He could even go ok at 9 to give McInnes a breather ......Whilst I want to see Mann in the starting side I thought his little cameo at lock was very good indeed as it was like we had an extra 5/8
It would suggest he could possibly do longer minutes there and help the bench rotation out by him not just being considered as a back or an injury replacement
Mann playing lock is stupid idea, even off the bench. He may be better playing hooker off the bench?Whilst I want to see Mann in the starting side I thought his little cameo at lock was very good indeed as it was like we had an extra 5/8

Well he went very well for his 7 minutes and was in no way intimidated or over awed.Mann playing lock is stupid idea, even off the bench. He may be better playing hooker off the bench?
