Channel 9 - John Sutton Operation

It was reported that John Sutton had a neck operation over the weekend to correct a bulging disk. It was also said he would be out of action for at least a month, and souths are hopeful that he will return before round 1.

I caught the last bit of Ch 9 sport last night and there was a story on John Sutton being injured and Souths being hopeful of having back for the start of the season. I can't find anything on it this morning. Can someone add some light on this story and if he is injured and what the injury is?

I wouldnt risk him in any of the trials, except maybe a short stint in the charity shield, give him every chance to be right for round 1.

Remember about 3-4 years ago in a charity shield when you's needled up Yileen Gordon to go back on the field for the second half, you guys must be thankful such days are behind you!

Hope big John has a speedy recovery.

What makes you so sure Dave? I've read elsewhere that he will be probably resume full contact training in just over a months time and be keeping up fitness training in the meantime.
