What does everyone think of their covergae?

I'm a little bit disappointing in their coverage, I thought with live finals it'll be good. I mean I am enjoying the fact that is live and no-one can ruin it for you by telling you the score before the telecast is over. But I cant stand them going to an ad break whenever a try has been scored. Why dont they go to an add break at half time like they used to? I wished Foxtel were covering the finals that wouldve good.

Thats what will always happen with FTA. You don't pay for the coverage so channel 9 needs to find another way to earn money from showing the game.

I dont mind the ads, rarely do you miss any coverage of actual play.
So you miss a goal kicker lining the ball up? no great loss
It could be worse in that they could show all the finals on delay like they used to once upon a time.

Yeah I think it has been good. Haiving it live is worth having adds after the try's.

I like it but sometimes you wish they'd show a replay to see if balls were dropped or stripped. A few other times replays would be handy to see if the ref got it right.

I always like NBN's coverage when finals come around, but their normal season coverage is rediculous.

When they have to get Mario Fenech as an 'expert' commentator, that gives me the sh*ts. He is probably the dumbest man to be put in front of a television camera. His comments on the game basically were just repeats of what Matty Johns said and offered no real insight into the game.

The only thing that annoyed me about that was that there was no replay of the try at all after the ad break. I wanted to see it because I couldn't believe the Eels could defend so badly, that was embarrassing for them.

I think it's okay except for the 'don't rock the boat' attitude of most of the commentators. They very rarely, unless it is absolutely unavoidable, draw attention to bad refs decisions, which sh*ts me. The one try the Cowboys scored on Friday came off a glut of bad decisions (bad penalties, dropped balls, tackles into touch not called, mystifying six again rulings...) and only Gus said anything about the penalty against Heighno.

They came straight back from the ad to see Witty almost having already converted his try.

yeah the ads are really f**king annoying...but when can you put them on tho?

after the try- miss the cnversion.

after the conversion- may miss the kick off and a tackle or 2

but other then i think its been pretty good. the commentary is the same as always.

40 minutes isn't exactly a huge amount of time not have an ad. And they could always have ads scrolling across the screen during the game.

i hate ads, but it is a commercial station. One of their main aims is to make money and what better way to do it when there are 500 000 people tuning into watching it.
Adds on the bottom of the screen would be 100% worse...who wants to be distracted with crap on the bottom on the screen?????
Its bad enough they show that stupid holden commercial with Skaife and the other massive gibbering idiot with the most annoying voice!
