Cheap Accomodation for Origin

I'm looking for somewhere super cheap to stay for origin. Needs to be a double room, but we just got back from backpacking around south east asia and got used to staying in cockroach infested, smelly little sh*thole dorms, so honestly do not care at all about the quality of the room.

Is there a site online for really cheap accom? I used WotIf.com but its really more for fancier hotels, the best I could find was $50 for the night, but that was in the cbd, and seeing as I'd prefer to be out west a bit I thought maybe someone knew of something cheaper?

I'm only in Sydney for the Origin, so I guess homebush is ideal, but anywhere nearish a train station is fine. Anyone know any pubs with cheap rooms or anything?

There is nothing in Homebush (I think) besides the novotel which wouldnt be cheap. YOur best bet is to have a look on expedia.com.au & look at the suburbs close that are on the train line. Try Lidcombe.

yea go for the formule 1 on parramatta rd thats pretty close to the homebush.
