Chelsea Sweep aside Barcelona

Great performance by the Blues this morning. Should well and truly cast aside theories that Barcelona had Chelsea's measure after last seasons tie. No players sent off tonight for Chelsea might of confused Barcelona. After a fairly even first half Chelsea totally bossed the second half and if it were not from poor finishing from Sheva and a couple of close misses from Drogba it could of been a real hammering.

Drogba and Essien were magnificent. Both are beasts in their respective areas of the field. Drogba capping a fine all round performance with another screamer. Boularouz was excellent in nullifying Ronaldinho.

Lots to think about for Barca before the return leg. Another win for Chelsea and Barca may miss the knockout phases which would be mildly satisfying.

Chelski are boring. It was a good goal from Drogba but the last 20 mins it seemed as though Barca was going to equalise but didn't quite get it. It was just a group game. When it gets to the knockout stages it will be bye bye Chelski once again.

I didn't watch the game and had no interest in it. I'm just so sick of Chelski. Mark my words, when Roman leaves, they will die. What a glorious day for football that will be. Roman is ruining English football.

With Drogba's goal I thought I was watching a replay of his goal against Liverpool.
Thought Chelsea played pretty well and deserved to win.
One thing this result has done is shown the Champions League is wide open.
Any side that gets through their group has some chance of winning it.

shevchenko and drogba possibly both out for the rematch, chelsea's depth to be sorely tested again against barca. barca to win this one at the now camp, if chelsea get a draw it'll be a very good acheivement.
