Time for Chelsea to get down to business after succombing meakly to a pugnacious Middelsbourough side which lacked class. Man U have jumped out of the blocks and whilst it is an incredibly long season Chelsea don't want to go gift wraping a 5 or 6 point buffer this early, which will give Man U and Liverpool some belief.

Blackburn away from home is never an easy game. Always a combative side which can test the boundries. With the possible return of Ballack and Robben Chelsea will have more thrust going forward.

Im tipping a Chelsea victory with Shevchenko and Lampard on the score sheet.

Chelsea team as follows

GK - Cech

FB's - Boulahrouz, Carvalho, Terry, Bridge

Defensive Midfielders - Makalele, Essien

Attacking Midfielders - Lampard, Ballack

Strikers - Kalou, Shevchenko

Most striking thing about that team is the lack of natural width. those 4 midfielders will be out to boss Blackburn down the middle. Great to see Cech back in goal and Ballack making his premiership debut.

Blackburn weren't disgraced against Chelsea last night.
The Chelsea defence were great and limited Blackburn to only shots from outside the box.
Chelsea had a penalty which was a reckless action from the new boy Oijer. I hate the rule where even though the ball wasn't going in the same direction it was a foul on the player and a penalty. Maybe a indirect should be the result from this, but i can't see them changing the rules. Blackburn should of been awarded a penalty just after they went down 1-0 with a shirt being tugged in the box but the ref didn't give it. Chelsea went ahead 2-0 with a goal from Drogba which was from a great move from inside there own half with a couple of quick one touch passes.
All in all Blackburn weren't disgraced but still not a great way to start there campaign.

No.
He's captain whilst Nelson is injured.
Last night he played at LB with Emerton RB.
Looking at that and the previous signing of Oijer it looks as if he's on his way out. It may depend on how we go in the next month or two and also how we fair in the UEFA Cup.

Umm.. why would they give the armband to a player who is on the way out if they did not want to keep him??

There are a couple of other players there they could of looked at in Fridel, Savage or even Gamst if they are looking towards the future..

They want to keep him but the ball is in his court. When i said on his way out i meant that he's going to go on his own choice not from the clubs choice.

Gamst aint the future of the club.
He's too inconsistent, floating in and out of games. He scores some great goals but not consistently. He tends to go missing alot.
