See ya Chev, not that you will be missed.

It was announced today that he has signed with Bath Rugby Union and will be fast-tracked into the England team.

Another grub off for the money.

It's his choice if he wants to waste all his talent and future career prospects.Idiot.

If I were a Leeds fan I would be absolutely furious about this.

They spent months inviting every Union side and nation they could find to train with them and leach their technique off them. So much so that Walker quotes England coach Andy Robinson as being his mentor.

I just can't see what the Rhinos gained from letting England RU and Bath have a live trial system at their own training sessions, at their own request.

It baffles me and if I were a Leeds fan I would demand answers. An unbelievable mistake if you ask me.

That's what happens when you trust the snakes in union.

Walker is a talented player and will be missed. I do wonder though (apart from the money) why players go over to union. It's a crap game, played by inferior athletes. RL players invariably come back, and they find they have wasted good years of what is a short career.

Your a bloody paranoia aren't you ? Let him go and he might come back and make the GB team like Harris and Gareth Raynor .
We know you hate the game !

Union, for all its faults, does take international football seriously and can offer far more opportunities in that area than RL.

Don't kid yourself, he will be missed, he's a great utility when playing for Great Britain, one that you no longer have. GB lack depth as it is, so to lose on of your top 20 is a bit of a blow.

If it was announced that he re-signed with League for a few more years, you'd no doubt be going on and on about what a great player he is, and what good news it is that he is staying!

Leeds deserve all they get . They chose to get into bed with Union . Walker is a decent enough player but certainly not an indispensable one . His boots in league will be filled by another young player already in the system . How many defectors to the England Union side have been worth the effort ? Hmm , Jason Robinson , who else ? No one else has been anywhere near cementing a spot in the regular England XV . Yet they still sign league players with a path straight into the England set up .If Union want to waste their money then let them get on with it . League has taken enough Union players in the past .I just hope any aspiring Union player with eyes on an England shirt look at how Union treats them and comes over to league .

Don't talk bab. Suddenly this ''overrated thug'' is leaving and leeds fans should be devastated.

Leeds produced a host of class young players ready for international honours at the same time. The market for young british players has gone up so we were always going to lose a few.

What you must remember is we've kept hold of the key pivotal players like burrow, mcguire, sinfield and diskin. If there was an exodus of all those players then i would be peed off.

What we aren't doing is being held to ransom, if you do this long enough it creates a much better culture at a club. See wigan who probably were held to ransom for ceratin players and look how they have ended up.

And lastly, all these people calling walker for going, don't take the p*ss. You're telling me you wouldn't switch companys for probably twice as much annual salary, if it was still convenient for family or whatever?

Yeah right.

You're right I do hate union, for all sorts of reasons. I am allowed to do that and have never hidden my hatred of the c***s that play that game.

I'd like nothing better than for ***********************************************. Hate them all.

Are you really that thick? I don't like what RU does to our game but to come out with that is completely ignorant and unforgivable. If this is the way you speak your mind people won't want to hear your opinion.

Sorry to hear about the mrs n78.

Chev's probably got his eyes on a combination of more money, more international games against more opponents, and being part of rep team which is in the short term is more likely to win games...

It's not so much Chev's choice or Union as a sport that I dislike, it's the media machinery and imbalance when reporting on union versus league that I've come to dislike, and the lofty attitudes from various parties including Union administrations over the years that seem to come along with that.

Like any league player that goes to union, he will be replaced easily enough.

TBH i really couldn't give a damm about rugby union, i hold no grudges.

The fact is that before union was fully professional, league used to pinch their players for years, so now i guess its their turn.

Union gets more press attention because basically it's a far bigger game internationally.

Do you really expect people down south to give two hoots if wakefield beat salford in some other code they aren't accustomed to?

I don't have a chip on my shoulder really i enjoy eatching league and thats it.

Union gets far more press coverage for a number of reasons . Most of them have to do with their suppression of rugby league and their cheap threats which league never had the bottle to fight in court . The media in this country is full of ex uni types who have probably never seen a game of league live in their lives , yet they think they have the right to belittle the game at every opportunity. Not many people in the north give two hoots if Leicester beat Bath either . I certainly don't give a to$$ if England win . You probably think that's an unpatriotic thing to say but I just despise the RFU with a vengeance . They put down the game I love and prevented it from becoming the second most popular team sport in the world , of that I have no doubt . I DO have a chip on my shoulder . In fact I have a huge sacks of spuds on each one .

Look at it in a positive aspect. They throw all this sh*t at us, yet they still can't bring our game down, it is stronger than ever and will continue to get stronger despite what they try, it's great isn't it?:)

Just forget about union, f*ck union and concentrate on league.
