This years CHR Foley Shield Final is being held at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday 27th September, the games will commence with the Under 17's at 2.00pm, Under 19's at 3.45pm and "A" Grade at 5.30pm. This game could be a part of history as Townsville goes for FOUR Grand Final wins in a row, FOUR in a row has never been achieved before and the Townsville & Districts Rugby League (TDRL) would like to make this a special day!
The TDRL would like to invite all Current & Ex Foley Shield Players, Coaches, Referees and Officials from North Queensland and throughout Australia to attend a reunion on the day. As these players, coaches, referees and officials were responsible for the Legend of the Foley Shield being created, we would like them to be part of the resurgence of the famous Foley Shield. The Muster Club and the adjoining Grand Stand area has been booked for all players, coaches, referees and officials. Therefore they will have their own area to reminisce and meet friends that they have not seen for a long time. If teams from the past wish, we can arrange for photos of teams from to be taken with the Foley Shield, but we would need prior notification of this requirement!
Irrespective of the game result, come and have a great day!
Spread the word throughout your area and if we could have an idea of players, coaches, referees and officials (for catering purposes) that are attending please contact the NQ ex players Association or the TDRL direct:

There will be bar service and food available in the Muster Club and entry to the ground will be $8.00. After the game the reunion can go to the Cowboys Leagues Club and watch the NRL Prelim Final.
If players, coaches, referees and officials wish to have a meet and greet on the Friday night, we can arrange the 26th Friday night at the Cowboys Leagues Club.
For Burdekin, Herbert River, Whitsunday, Innisfail, Echam, Mackay, Mt.Isa and Cairns area, if you can get a representative in your area to organise spreading the word and gathering numbers
