There is an article in this Thursdays Sutherland Leader in which he talks about his injury and expresses his doubts about winning a new contract without game time. It says he has been selected to play 1st grade this week after six weeks but does not sound too confident of taking the field.

"The injury hasn't helped my situation here," said the 29 year old Queenslander yesterday, in his sixth year with the Sharks.

"I didn't get a lot of football off the bench before I suffered a bruised shin bone, which resulted in the whole bone going soft."

"It still isn't 100%, so I just have to wait and see if I get cleared by the doctor later this week."
