This is straight of the Totalrl.com website:

"LEEDS Rhinos star Chris McKenna will reject a new contract with the Rhinos this week, and will head back to Australia"

The McKenna-John Lang connection worries me...wouldn't surprise me if McKenna ran out for Penrith next year !

Why we let Pomeroy go I will never know !! He is the only Penrith centre to make a clean break all season !! ...and why Lewis (former SOO centre !!) is stuck on the wing while Howland stays in Premier League is another mystery.

McKenna'a a good player, so why would that worry you? Unless it was their plan to ditch Pomeroy and get a veteran, which would be wrong...

I too am puzzled by Lewis, when Girlder retired and Whatuira was let go, I figured Lewis had to play centre - I still do, he simply has to step uo

lewis played SOO at winger...so get that right.

Lewis isn't a centre. His positional play is weak as. It just doesn't work.

He's safe as houses, he has a turn of speed and can find the line, therefore he's a winger.

We need to find two centres.

I feel if we get McKenna he'd be used as an impact utility off the bench. I wouldn't mind, if there is one thing we are lacking currently its an old head and some leadership with Lang and Girds going.

Someone mentioned McKenna on PI aswell a couple of days ago. He's alright, but it doesn't go anywhere near replacing Ross, Joe, Pom, Donato, Clayton and Rogers does it.

i'd like him.

For experience and Leadership.

you look at our pack. Since T got injured we've lacked a leader. McKenna can provide that.

In the packs we are inexperienced and we need a leader, mcKenna can fill in there if needs be as well.

Souths have signed Paul Mellor and Mark O'Neill looks to be heading there.

I very much doubt McKenna would be going there.

McKenna is old and slow now.

Perfect for our centres.

Now I see why we lost Ross, Rogers and Pommeroy.

In all fairness we have been criticising management for playing overs for certain players. Now while Pomeroy is a good player given his lack of experience it's not worth paying an excessive amount for him.

If that's why we lost him (because he got a massive offer from the sharks) then so be it. Dissapointing but not the end of the world.

I would pay overs for Pomeroy. Future star. Been one of our very few shining lights this season.

It still gets to me that Luke Swain is staying while the likes of Pomeroy and Ross are being let go.

On McKenna. I wouldn't want the loss of Ross, Pom, Joe, Rogers to all be for McKenna. I was hoping for an excellent centre.

But if McKenna is to come over with maybe another player I'd be fine with that.

I guess the Penrith management don't have to tell us everything that's going on behind the scenes and they might have perfectly valid reasons for letting some of our best players leave the club. BUT...I sure hope they give us fans something to be happy about very shortly ! Pomeroy may have got a huge offer from the Sharks but I can't see too many other backs of his quality knocking on Penrith's door. In an area pinpointed as our weakness by the coach himself, seems very strange to let Ben walk away from the club.
