Why isn't this guy in 1st Grade? He'd shit all over Wagon and easily has more talent than Dykes. He carved the Kangaroos up for England U/19 last year!

2 things
1. It was England A not Englander u/19's as Thorman is 21 anway so it would have been impossible :D

2. On the form Dykes has shown I doubt that Thorman is that much better even at his best. It might be a little biased but I'd say Dykes is playing better now then he was in 2001.

As for why Thorman isn't in the top grade he is getting easied into the speed, climate etc of the Australian game. He has been coming along very well in reggies and even without Wagon's suspension would not have been far off making the top grade.

Morley didn't really hit his staps here until his 2nd season in the NRL so it is still early days for Thorman.

Thorman has been great.....would be better if he had more quality players around him.

I reckon he's very close to a game....his first division form has been very consistent and in the top 3 bets players each week it seems.

I don't think we will see him untill either Dykes, Webster, Morris get injured some time this year...i feel he's alot better then Webster & Witt IMO.

Thorman easily beats Webster! And Dykes! And Wagon!

Dykes has been playing like an out of tune piano ever since his ONE good season in 2001.

Thing with Thorman is, Smith does has a plan for him. He has been biught to play top grade. But I remember seeing comments from Smith prior to the season that Thorman wouldnt be rushed...has hurri said he is being allowed to find his feet and get some match practice and confidence before being tossed into the top grade.

Dykes is in the best form of his career at the moment! No way should he be dropped for Thorman. Thorman has been playing well in the lower grade but it is a big step up to NRL football, he looks up to the task but there is no need to rush him.

Why do we get every other nuff nuff supporter from opposition clubs on our forum. Mate you are obviously dirty on Dykes leaving the sharks and by the way your mob is going you would love to have him in the side. Get a life!!

yes somehow tamazoid knows everything about our premier league team when he clearly knows little of our best first grade player so far this year

Thorman should get a shot but he is no world beater. He will do well and probably deserves Websters spot on the bench.

Did anybody notice the period in last weeks game when Dykes was playing dummy half and Morris was first receiver?

Not a world beater??......no one said he was but he would easily make an impact in the NRL..He's the standout in First division and he shits all over Witt!!....actually Witt has been made to look good by Thorman.

Cronulla had a lot of problems with Dykes when it came to positional play. He'd tell all and sundry that he was a five-eighth. At the time we had Treister at hooker, Green at half and Healey at five-eighth.

For Dykes' first couple of years he was shunted around to cover for those three. It culminated in a punch-up between Healey and Dykes. As a kid he had a lot of confidence, but always very vocally saw himself as a 5/8. It is good to see him playing well this year at half - I know its a while since he was on the bench at Cronulla, but I wonder if he still has issues regarding his position?

I really don't think this Thorman is as good as every makes out, i have seen him in a few games this year now and i don't think he is better or worse than Witt, i see them playing better together but i don't think he is better then Witt so far.

Witt has really progressed since the beggining of the season! If anything Thorman has stayed the same and Witt is about to overtake him i think........
