Anyone else running it this year?

This will be my 2nd and this time I am hoping to run all the way up Heartbreak Hill and not have to walk some of it like I did last year.

There is no shame in walking some of heartbreak hill.... It is bloody tough.

I ran this race every year from when I was 12 till 19, with my best time being 70m2Xs

Haven't ran it since, but I have a feeling if I was running this weekend I'd be struggling to crack 100m such is my fitness these days.

I've got the Sutho to surf and City to surf circled next year though in my bid to run a marathon before I turn 27 (it used to be 25 but I've been lazy)

yeh doing it for the 4th time

ran 81mins last year, hoping to do 70-75mins this year with a clear run (i.e. not avoiding prams for the first 5kms)

heartbreak hill is largely mental. its all about keeping your head down and pushing on. the second you think about what you are doing, you're gornskis

I drove out and ran Heartbreak Hill a few times in the last week or two so that I am mentally and physically prepared for it this time. It isn't really all that steep, it just goes on for so damn long lol.

Hoping to do it in 80mins and then looking at sub 2hrs for the Half Marathon in September.

Yea it was warm, I had a slight knee injury through the race and came home in 82 mins, still a PB and next year def plan to get home under 80. Looking forward to the Half Marathon through Sydney in September now

My girlfriend and I did it. Wish we'd been able to run in a higher group. f**king yellow group was full of fat ladies walking six abreast. I got sick of dodging them.
