I never bother watching.

This whole rep weekend needs to be scrapped.

All it creates is negative publicity. Players pulling out every day looks terrible and it happens every year. Threads like this are created every year.

I'd much prefer to see NRL games taken to the bush. Just say the Bulldogs v Knights was being played in Dubbo this weekend. I'd back the crowd and general interest in Dubbo to be much bigger.

Internationals are important, but must be played after Origin. That is a no brainer.

As a league fan, this week is excruciating due to all the negativity surrounding the upcoming games. Yes...I am being negative as well.

Please Commission, please David Smith - end the pain!!!!!!!

Origin messes the comp up even worse than this early weekend off. This year the test match is being laughed at, let alone City v Country.

I'd love to see a global International weekend e.g.
Fri - Aus v NZ
Sat - Cooks v Italy (since all their players are Aussie anyway) and PNG v Tonga
Sun - Fiji v Samoa
And in the UK you could have England v Wales and Scotland v Ireland. France can play someone too (US maybe?).

Whether you do it pre or post Origin, I'm not sure.

They should make part of the new funding making players available for these games, make it so a cool million of their funding rides on it. Then lets see how many of the Sydney teams pull players.

Players pulling out willie nillie has not helped.
International eligibility has done more harm than good and people are not stupid.
Samoa verse Fiji was going to be a great clash, now it is a token gesture.
City/Country, this game was meant to reward the bush, seems like it is now punishing the bush.
High prices, players use injury as a excuse to not play.

In the DT today they are running a story why the city v country game is important(usual stuff about country kids meeting the stars etc) and right under that on the same page is a Slothfield piece saying the NRL should do away with the game, f**king geniuss.

Personally I dont care either way but I think the test should be scrapped.
