City v Country rep games for country kids - 16's and 18's ?

Wouldn't think it would be against SGB or HM level ....but perhaps one tier down ?

Plus in club footy does a country kid have any opportunity to rep NSW whilst playing in a country region / comp ?

Usually the RM Cup reps play a QLD country (Rangers) team from memory? CRL Championships is probably what you're thinking of? Not sure if an actual CvC at junior level has survived.

Thanks for the reply Timmah. Yeah I'm aware of the Rangers v RMC Reps games (and Rangers includes Bne Sub Districts players as eligible).....though do think it is a shame NSW Country don't seem to play them (QR) anymore at Opens level.

I would say yes, but it's highly unlikely as they wouldn't be playing the same quality of footy to enable them to be picked.

The "unknowns" from the country are more likely to make rep sides through the 15's / opens school carnivals.

Well two did make the NSW U16 pathways squad at the start of the year...

Just assumed (possibly incorrectly) that if not in the HM / SGB system you are not noticed by rep selectors.
