John Williams has quite a few entries. Schindlers List #10 is Williams as well.

I don't really get why there is some movies with more than 1 entry?

because it's a music countdown, not a movie one. think of all the easily recognisable pieces of music from Star Wars alone, the main theme, the Cantina band, the Imperial March etc. etc.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but some are just listed as eg. John Williams - superman score (no specific track).

Yeah, it throws you. As does the original score vs using a classical piece.

personally i think the love theme from Superman is an amazing piece, it would definitely be in my top 10

No Star Wars yet either - Williams as well.

I'd have more Ennio Morricone.

Up to No. 6. Lawrence of Arabia

Only a new movie so won't get its due, but the music from Oblivion was absolutely stunning. The best I've heard in a long, long time. Put it this way --- I walked directly from the cinema having seen it into a JB Hi Fi & purchased the soundtrack.

"Starwaves," &, "Oblivion: End Credits," are mesmeric.

All-time classics, can't go past John Williams' gloriously serene theme for Jurassic Park as the greatest movie score ever, but check out Elliott Goldenthal's, "The Gift," from the movie Sphere for a very powerful & dramatically moving tune.

For something with an edge, Williams' Jaws classic & Danny Elfman's Batman theme (1989) are unbeatable.

 I rewatched Sphere recently and after the 1st 20 mins I was thinking the movie was better than I remembered, mainly because of the music, then the movie got pretty dumb.

#3 Lord of the Rings

Star Wars and Jaws as 1 and 2?

I actually bought the soundtrack CD of The Mission off Amazon in the pre-iTunes days. So much hassle compared to how easy it is now just to search for your favourite tracks, then buy and download them individually.
