Thats the end of us for 10 weeks. Might jag a win or 2 but not much more.

I actually think we will be ok. We would definitely be better with Cleary there, but I have confidence that Maloney will lead our attack and will do a decent job of it. With it being a 10 week thing it should be the chance to blood Luai as 5/8 (or May once he is back).

He better. Missed 14 tackles last night.

Nathan Cleary: Grade three MCL knee injury to sideline Penrith Panthers halfback for 10 weeks
BOOM halfback Nathan Cleary has been ruled out football for 10 weeks in a shattering blow to the Penrith Panthers’ premiership hopes.

X-rays have revealed Cleary suffered a grade three MCL knee injury in Friday night’s loss to the Canterbury Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.
It rules him out of contention for the first State of Origin game in June.

Cleary missed the second half of the game against the Bulldogs.

He will be replaced by James Maloney at halfback with Tyrone Peachey expected to fill in at five-eighth.

This season is turning into a repeat of 2015.

Although we have a lot better backup half than we did then. But in 3 rounds:

Sam Mckendry - seasom
Tim Browne - indefinite
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak - 6 weeks
Nathan Cleary - 10 weeks if this is true

Only positive is none of these injuries were preventable, just shitty luck.

Luai is actually more experienced than some people may realise, played with the Samoan squad at the World Cup, he’s 21 too, so not super young.

Edit: Samoa
