yeh too much for me, lower the st george bank part and incorporate the aboriginal artwork to be the actual red V and i think it would be great and then keep the sleeves the way they are

We don't have to love it, just appreciate what it stands for.
I appreciate it and like it. I would wear it.

Ricky looks well. Larry has put on a few kgs though!
He'd be a few years older.

When I saw a young Larry Corrowa play, I think it was '78 at the SCG, I recall there were sections of the crowd making racial remarks towards him. Just stupid crap. He was scoring tries (a hatrick in the end) and the racists didn't like it. It was Balmain v Wests game btw. Anyway, racism wasn't the go then, but no one would tell them to shut up. Nowadays they'd be told to put a sock in it and probably ejected from the ground. I call that progress.

I would normally agree with you, just the pure Red V for me. But it's still a dominant feature on the jersey and unlike other changes, this one is done for the right reasons.

Thats an interesting story. This year whilst in the members stand during the eels visit to Kogarah a man was giving it to Vidot. He then started with some racial slurs... i turned to him and said a few choice words and the man didn't say another word. I have zero tolerance for racism it should not be condoned in anyway and it's good to see that we're making progress.

That's f**ked.

Jersey looks good. They can't modify only the Red V, it would appear too small on TV. Tingha should come to this game and partner Dell as MC between the NYC and NRL game and at half-time, that'd be awesome.

Today's political correctness would no doubt get in the way of his nickname from those days - "The Black Flash". But it suited him. Quickest winger I've seen.

No accounting for taste...I think it looks great and I am...like...really stylish so there you are. Only complaint - the bank logo could take a backward step and let the pattern continue.

Maybe in some circles but I think most people wouldn't care. There's nothing derogatory about 'Black Flash'. Ellery Hanley was called 'The Black Pearl' and he was still playing relatively recently. I'm sure there are other more recent examples.

What I heard back in the late 70s was appalling stuff like, "go back to Wilcannia, ya black ****". And worse. I can't imagine anyone getting away with that at the SCG in 2012. Apart from the fact that Corowa came from Murwillumbah and nowhere near Wilcannia, the taunt was miserable, stupid and not even remotely humorous. But racists are not born with a brain.

I became a part time fan of Larry Corowa for a little while after that (even though he played for Balmain). I distinctly remember Frank Hyde talking up Corowa's try-scoring abilities and naming him in his preferred Kangaroo side because, according to Frank, "you just can't ignore him..."

I really like the jersey, and whether it's late or not doesn't matter - the fact we're doing it is what matters.
