Craig Bellamy was the coach at a club which was caught systematically cheating in the most blatant and shameful salary cap scandal in the history of the game. Now the media blows smoke up his a$$ every time they talk about him and his purple scum buckets. If it’s ok for slime like that to get a second chance then Flanagan should too.

My Sharks mate recons Flanno has signed a 2 year deal announcement on Tuesday.

If true I have my doubts about him I really do but I'll reserve judgement for now.

End of the day biggest problem is the board.
If true it will be Young as his side kick , 2 years to fix the mess and attract players if he can , then punt him and set up for Dean to take over ........ That's the way daddy snakes his son in ....... Why only 2 year deal ....... ?

Good win against quality, takes a bit more pressure off the club for New Coach in different ways. Troubled finish, but could have been a lot worse. Good day for all!
I have been listening to some footy podcasts lately and Gould has pointed out with us its the first 10 minutes and last 10 minutes of games that need fixing. I know he is not popular here but he has a good point there.

The last 10min I agree , but the first 20min a game , you think , wow we are going not too bad ...... Then it happens a team gets 6 again or a penalty and it's game set and match ......

Manly did very well tonight against Bennett's team. Their attack was brilliant and they have speed to burn. If we get Flanagan, I hope he has been part of the attacking arrangements and identified that speed wins games.

We need speedy players - it's a no brainer. Fitness and speed trainers needed as well.

Speed provides excitement. It is essential and we have got to have speed men in the backs and forwards.

Its why I miss Dufty dearly
Watching him run the field at games was electric
especially in person
we need someone who can do that again
That try when someone said to him "run Duft" - that was pure magic

I'm not sure what's more of a concern, our coaching woes or the fact that you have a Sharks mate.
No argument here lol I my last 2 years I was at endeavor so I was at high school with the likes of Beau Champion, Chase & Kyle Stanley, Blake Ferguson, Anthony Cherrington, Blake Ayshford & of course Ryan Carr. I made a lot of new friends in the world of rugby league I have many Sharks mates (sorry) and have been to the blokes house in charge of CSSC. What's that old saying keep your friends close and your enemies even closer.

No for some reason Craig Bellamy and the players did not know anything was going on illegal...true or not I dont know...but that is what the NEWS run NRL oops... I mean NRL independant investigations found

The team march onto the stadium glaring at the camera showing solidarity and saying stuff you to all outside this club... convincing was'nt it! innocent? we can all guess as much as we like ;)
One of the black days in league in 2010..he he
Anyway who won the premiership in 2010. Happy days.. Oh when the Saints

Sloan can do that if given the space and be put in holes like yesterday.
Dont wish Duff back. i was a loud supporter for Duff in the early years to give him time. He just did not improve his talk and defense enough.
Sloan's defense is slightly better and he is still young
Least he tries and dives side on..still not great but...
Dufty would tend to be lazy and not get there or go the intercept at times

And especially he knows what day the announcement is coming on Tuesday. Not a bad guess since it is a long weekend
One other poster said social media indicating Thursday
I am going to go Wednesday the 21st the day of SOO2
They will announce the coach in the morning,
He will be interviewed and say I am playing Hunt as 9
Hunt will get the dirts and have a shocker. NSW win.

Yes, he has the occasional good point, I think that’s fair.

For example, ultimately ,he was right about Ryles but we didn’t see much value in his SGI Review which most people saw as a shadowy endorsement of Mary.

He’s running his big bulldogs show at the moment which is interesting alrhough I’m not sure it’s shaping up as expected, but time will tell.

The panthers have been big pussies about the bold faced pillage.

Another case of players straying out of their lane!

New Coach will need to bust the decision on Carry and whether or not he’s excess to requirements.

In our case, I think our board is so stubborn, they ( Players ) need to get their voice across...

We no longer play " Mary or hook Ball ".... love some of the expansive play under Carr .
Players rate Carr including guys like Latrell mitchell...

He is a must keep I.M.H.O ( Under contract for 2024 )

Have a good long weekend @The Silverdale Phantom .

Would be tragic to lose him as he’s been one of the best assistant coach signings in many many years.
It would be ironic if the Dragons has some later season success under his coaching style.
The search for our next head coach has been lengthy & embarrassing, yet the ideal candidate may have been right under our nose to build a future with Ryan Carr.

Hope he remains the attack coach under Flanno (if & when)
with the long term view to eventually be the HC gaining more experience & input.

Agree...not sure if Carr would be ready for Head coach role...But he knows his stuff...

Our attack has looked more expansive under Carr.

I was referring to the man’s input into a team when he had been banned , that was reported at the time of the incident . What we are now reading is a rehash of that , but written differently , in fact a very demeaning manner to cast more doubt and suspicion on him .
What people lose sight of (often conveniently) is Flanno was contacted by people at the club at that time for input. He obliged when he should have said sorry bye and hung up.

It wasn’t like he personally oversaw war crimes but it was certainly dumb.

From memory club fined for their part in making contact.

Thank goodness they cleaned the joint out
