Coincidence or not???

Has it occured to anyone else that 5 of the remaining 6 teams in the competition, and 6 of the original 8, were ex-Superleague teams!! Add to that, the two non-Superleague teams (Rooters and Knights) were the most vocal non-Superleague powers and spent the most money buying players. What message, if any, does this convey. You could be excused to conclude that the way for success is to buy it (players). Could it be that the top 6 clubs now, some of whom are still propped-up with News Ltd money, are benefiting from past extravagant expenditure in the Superleague era? Any thoughts out there?

PS: I know that "the war is over", I am not hung-up on the past wrong-doings of clubs, administrators and players, but, I am simply making an observation.

I can honestly say I NEVER noticed. :p

If you believe that, have I got a deal for you.

I am selling the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it will only cost you $100,000.

I had'nt thought about that way, probably because, "the war" is history.

I always liked the Western Reds, Adelaide Rams, Hunter Mariners and Auckland Warriors. Where are they now?

Consider it another way, the two most improved teams this year were the Canberra Raiders and Penrith Panthers while the two most disappointing teams were the Dragons and Eels (with a rebuilding Sharks outfit close behind). Now, have a look who the reigning premiers are and the favourites for this year at the moment. The New Zealand Warriors don't have too many similarities off the field to the old SL days, either.

The old ARLers aren't that far behind afterall.
