Just wondering if there is anyone out there that has an interest in or follows Collage Football?

I have an interest in it, although not to same degree as the NFL....

I don't have a team to follow, but its good to see the young talent coming through the ranks...

I think the whole No 1 ranking thing is one of the most contrived things I have ever seen in any sports though....

Ive never actually seen a game, I think its the sort of thing you really have to have a connection with one of the teams and go and see it in the flesh to enjoy. I personally have no interest whatsoever, however Id LOVE to go to a game and change my opinion

The college scene is somewhat more followed than the NFL. What we see on tv is only the very top of the college level. Just about every school in America has a football team, and they play teams in their area in the same division. The way the students follow their teams is far more passionate than that of the NFL. They are more connected to college players than the NFL ones who come from all over the country, rather than the guy who lives nextdoor.

I love college football, although not being able to watch full length games down here in australia has seen me lose interest.

I just wish that the NCAA allowed for college football to be aired outside the states...

For the record -
My Golden Gophers won yesterday - STOMPED on Toledo - 63-21.
The commentators before the game were saying that they didn't think MN was strong enough to beat Toledo.

HA  HA  HA  HA  HA  HA  HA  HA  !!!

MG, I thought you would've been a Minnesota State fan, with coach Hayden Fox and assistants Luther and Dauber. :D

BIG TIME College Football fan right here...it all starts and ends with the Miami Hurricanes !

F.Y.I., ESPN will bring you some College Football action on TV, as a matter of fact, the Canes will be on this month. ESPN's Sportscenter is awesome for news as you all may know as well.

College Football is HUGE in the States ! The atmosphere at a College game can rival any NFL game, especially amongst the most prestigous teams in the Nation i.e. Miami Fl., Florida, USC, VT etc. The rivalries are more intense than those in the NFL in some cases as well which only adds to the excitement between fans. Most rival schools will play each other for various 'trophies' as well which is bragging rights for one whole year e.g. Miami Hurricanes vs Florida Gators play for some type of tribal Indian Canoe trophy which holds pride and place at the school who wins the game.

I've been to 2 games at the U. of Michigan, some years ago. I saw Anthony Carter play for Michigan against UCLA - Carter went on the play WR for the Vikings.

Michigan Stadium is a giant bowl that holds about 105,000 people. It was full both times I went, and it's true, the atmosphere at a big-time college game is fantastic.
