Although saddened by the loss, we were beaten by the better team on the field.

Panthers thoroughly deserved win but let us be gracious in defeat.

Roosters players can hold their heads up, you've done me proud.

I think you will find that the crowd you are talking about live on the Wall - we are a buch of guys and girls in here who just like our football and play forum 5's together. We are also Rooster supporters

No none at all - in fact if you go to the Penrith forum you will find we even started a thread of congratulations...

Yes we were beaten on the night by a great side - from wooden spoon to premiers in two years a great effort

Know how it feels (sat through 2001 and 1984 GFs) and recognised the emotions of many roosters fans at the ground...

Just wanted to say that I thought Cayless and Fitzgibbon showed tremendous guts tonight - their efforts when obviously carrying injuries were outstanding IMO.

Flannery goes good too, and deserves maximum game time.

Finch will be better next year for having been in such a pressure game.

But Walker... I hope he's not your answer to that wing spot next year. Positional play in attack and defence tonight was Rabbith worthy.

Congrats on a good season - much better than my mob! Hope to be up there with you in 2004.

Yeah well said Bartman, I for one hope that the Eels do improve next year because they have to many talented players to be playing crap.
I am pretty dam devistated, watched the game from the UK on sky live and it was the worst performance i have seen by us all year.
I take nothing away from the Panthers as they played their backside off and I am happy that they won, they deserved to win.
There is always next year and thank god that i will be back in Sydney to cheer my team on and hopefully next year i'll actually have the chance to see them win a Grand Final.
As for all those annoying opposition fans that come in here just rubbing salt into the wounds, piss off you pathetic loosers.
I support my team with passion but there is no way in this world if another team lost a GF whoever they are i would come in here acting the way you guys do. Its pathetic and you should be ashamed of yourself

The Panthers were the best team, they deserved to win tonight and I wish the supporters and players all the best for 2004.

It was one of the best Grand Finals ever.

No excuses from me regarding tonights performance by the Roosters, we were outplayed.

Personally, I've had a great year supporting the Chooks and am very proud of the Club, Players and staff in getting a GF birth. Honestly, I'd prefer to be in it and lose than not be there at all. Rooster supporters were given an entire season of sensational football. So thanx for a superb 2003.

LOVE YA CHOOKS !!

Absolutely Pen couldn't have said it better myself.

I am so proud of the Boys 3 Grand Final appearances in 4 years.

I've been to them all.......I know the boys tried hard....it just wasn't their night last night.

Well Done Panthers!!!

GO THE ROOSTERS!!!!!!!!!!

comisserations to the roosters.

You guys played well, very well in fact. As ricky said, he told bernie gerr penrith would have to play very well to beat you, and they did.

Penrith really turned up to play last night, and i've never been more proud to call myself a penrith supporter, it makes me proud to be the captain of the panthers forum sevens team, to be affiliated with such a great team.

The roosters did not let you down last night. They played very well and very close to their full potential. The defence of the panthers just held strong for about 75 minutes of the game, which was finally good to see.

good luck next year, hopefully we'll see another match like this seasons great ending.

P.S. i know he is your coaching director, but i'm so happy Phil Gould is eating his words, as one panther said in the tunnel after the game "Where is f***ing phil gould now?" hehe. sorry couldn't help but chuckle.

Congrats Roosters for a wonderful effort. You were deserved premiers last year, and it would have been a travesty had you not been there again last night. It was a damn fine effort. Hold your heads high, and stand proud of your club.

BTW, gotta say, nice top see 2 former Eels, Cayless and Clinton, have outstanding games.

Congratulations Easts on one of the cleanest, fairest games of football I have ever seen, to the players for shaking hands after the game rather than crying on the ground, and to Brad Fittler for his humility and generosity in his speech. The Roosters turned around this critic after their performance last night.

Oh please-dont give us that crap about other fans carrying on.Fact is the panthers stood up to be counted and we would have to endure another season of Rooster supporters going off about every negative commentmade against their team .Last night was a victory for everyone else in the comp 8)

and do you think that loosing a g/f will stop them from still telling you that they were better than 13 other teams? me think not - but I really couldn't care what you think.

remind me again when your team had their Mad Monday - oh don't bother it was most probably weeks ago and looking at your feeble posts you wouldn't remember back that far

Its unfortunate you loose your brain when you turn on your computer, For every game there is a loser and we lost last night. Read every post made by the Rooster fans in here and not one of them had a bad word to say about ref decisions etc - so enjoy yourself at our expense - keep it clean and you can keep posting - we are bigger than what you think
