I think some of them have been boycotting games for quite some time now. Some are even boycotting the NRL until Leniu returns to the field.
Meh, I don't think comparing on-field incidents to literal crimes committed off the field that are also punished by the law are a fair comparison.8 weeks just doesn't seem fair. I understand wanting to stamp racism out of the game and I'm totally for that but Latrell Mitchell broke Manu's face and tried to fight him and only got 6. Greg Inglis got in a car drunk and sped to only miss out on 2 games, even Val Holmes only missed 1 game for uploading a photo on socials of him with a "white bag"
Surely potentially killing people and causing a relatively serious injury due to foul play is at the very least equal to Leniu calling Mam a monkey...
I can sort of see where MKCS is coming from, but I agree, having an off-field incident that has other punishments (i.e. Police, courts etc) isn't really comparable.Meh, I don't think comparing on-field incidents to literal crimes committed off the field that are also punished by the law are a fair comparison.
Latrell is a thug who should have got more. But the fact is racism is a worse look for the sport overall than a high shot. The game needs and wants to be inclusive. It doesn't take a brainiac to work out why sexual/racist incidents are going to have a heavier penalty.
Hit the nail. A high shot hurts a player, racial abuse hurts the brand. I think he got off lightly really.I can sort of see where MKCS is coming from, but I agree, having an off-field incident that has other punishments (i.e. Police, courts etc) isn't really comparable.
Looking at it through global impact lenses, racism is such a world-wide issue that it's going to cause more uproar than a high shot (although it was f**king horrific) and have more potential to hurt "the brand".
To be fair, @Apey said it first, I just agreedHit the nail. A high shot hurts a player, racial abuse hurts the brand. I think he got off lightly really.

Can you still say Gordon's mother is a rig?
I rooted your sister last night, said she prefers my dick to yours...
Where is the line?
Of course I do... what a stupid question. Where in my post, or the ones I quoted, did sex offenders even get brought up?You don't think having sex offenders in the game is a bad look?

But if you want my opinion on it, I think they should all be shot... point blank.... but in lieu of that, if they're found guilty they should be behind bars (e.g. Hayne).
But I was referencing the incidents that MKCS mentioned in his post, none of which were sex offenders.
Right, you seem to really want me to argue with you about this... which is weird.MKCS missed one - A sex offender got 7 weeks last year.
Spencer got 8, Some still say it is unders.
I wouldn't allow any criminals in the game but the game seems to be harsher on words, then actual crimes
You've kind of been dancing around your point in this thread, maybe due to fear of backlash I don't know, but it'd be great if you could just sum it up for us instead of us trying to work it out through all your vague statements.Depends who is copping it
Im guessing he will continue his Electric Boogaloo and dance around that question. You've kind of been dancing around your point in this thread, maybe due to fear of backlash I don't know, but it'd be great if you could just sum it up for us instead of us trying to work it out through all your vague statements.
What do you think his suspension should have been and why?

Maybe he didn't say that at all... Maybe he just said "you have a fat gunt"Paul Gallen fined for 'racial slur' against Mickey Paea

Cronulla captain Paul Gallen has been fined $10,000 for allegedly making a racial comment to St George Illawarra forward Mickey Paea during Saturday night's game.Paea told the referee Gallen had called him a "black c..." during the clash at Toyota Stadium, which the Dragons won 26-4.The alleged insult occurred after Paea had tackled the Sharks forward late in the game. Paea declined to make an official on-field complaint, and the pair reportedly reconciled after the game. But the NRL said in a statement on Monday it was fining Gallen $10,000 for a breach of the player code of conduct.
How times have changed....and for the better.
I think Johns called Inglis the same thing in blues camp once, Timana Tahu left the squad the next day.Paul Gallen fined for 'racial slur' against Mickey Paea

Then strangely this hit the news not too long after. Can't recall what the end outcome was.I think Johns called Inglis the same thing in blues camp once, Timana Tahu left the squad the next day.
