Duges just another step closer to the place and that momentous occasion where he and his good mate Fergie managed to stuff a finger in the dyke and save the bogan kingdom....

It just makes sense!

Dane Gagai has told Club officials he will depart the nib Newcastle Knights at season’s end.

Gagai joined the Knights in 2012, and has played 116 of his 122 NRL matches for Newcastle.

“We are obviously disappointed that Dane has decided to leave the Club, but we respect the decision he has made with his family,” CEO Matt Gidley said.

“Dane has been a wonderful player and ambassador for our Club over the six years he has been with us.

“He will leave at season’s end with our best wishes for the future.”

Gagai informed his teammates before joining the Queensland Maroons side in camp on Monday.

“We know Dane will give 100 per cent for the team before he departs us at the end of the year,” Gidley concluded.

good on gavet for turning it around. Remember reading an interview with him that he owes a lot to wayne bennent for giving him a good reference to convince the warriors to give him a contract even after his completely disastrous performance for the broncos.

WOW. Another story that shows each and everyone of us walks a different path. Good on him for working through his demons(do they ever leave??). Thanks for sharing.
Makes an old bloke with aches'n'pains realise getting this far is an achievement in itself. Regarding players on face value is always a mistake, they walk the same road we do

He'd make a decent centre. The fullback experiment is done surely

Why? He's 2 years into the job and the growth he's made already has been astounding. No reason to change at all. If he can cut down the mental handling errors, he's going to be a really good all around fullback.
He's only young, plenty of time left in him

It is a shame the Telecrap cannot focus on some of this stuff instead of reporting from the gutter. Good on him.

They are to busy trying to make out Mitchell Moses was a victim..makes great headlines, why would they write a story about a guy who turns his life around and helps people, when they can fabricated total crap and get bigger headlines
