Do you know what 'broken into 1st grade' means?Fake news. At the time of signing with the Roosters, he had played about 2 games (finished the year with 6) due to injuries. He was obviously signed based on what he was doing in the NYC, rather than a couple first grade appearances. Scouting and negotiations take months, not a couple weeks.
Even after signing with the Roosters, he finished the year in the 20's. He at no stage considered as in the Manly top 17.

Yeah, a 20s player who has broken into first grade.A 20's player who plays a couple first grade games through injury is still a 20's player.
Yeah, a 20s player who has broken into first grade.
Made his debut round 9, well before Origin. He was seen as the best forward in our lower grades for some time. Uncle Nick through the cheque book at him. Don't act like he was picked from obscurity. He was in the team as a replacement because others were unavailable, in fact due to origin not injury. It is a little different to a player who has been promoted into the team and considered part of that teams top 17. Do you consider Nat Butcher from the Roosters a First Grader?

Had Origin not opened the door of opportunity, Waerea-Hargreaves was ready to knock it off its hinges. A powerfully built 20-year-old second-rower, he made his debut in May against the Broncos and played a second last month against Canberra when Manly's stars were on Origin duty. Two games for two wins for Waerea-Hargreaves, who now has a third shot in the top grade - all this after signing a three-year deal to join the Roosters next season.
F*ck me you Chooks supporters post some shit about players you poach.

Think I'll go along with you ol'mate, Seagles missed the boat with JWH . . . where there's a will there's always a way, helped by the messages the big bloke was receiving from his and Manly's managementHe was in the team as a replacement because others were unavailable, in fact due to origin not injury. It is a little different to a player who has been promoted into the team and considered part of that teams top 17. Do you consider Nat Butcher from the Roosters a First Grader?

cue the moronic deadbeats on leagueunlimited who think the Roosters just go out and sign SOO players.
This is our top 17, pretty much indicative of the fact that the Roosters policy is to sign youngsters. Teams like the Bulldogs, Eels, Manly tend to go more for experienced NRL players.
Michael Gordon - 34 and unwanted by Parra
Daniel Tupou - Signed after a season of playing for Wentworthville
Latrell Mitchell - Signed from our feeder junior club Wyong after being rejected by the Bulldogs and Newcastle.
Joey Manu - Signed as a youngster from NZ
Blake Ferguson - Partially true but signed after being sacked by the Raiders. Spent 12 months out of the game.
Luke Keary - Unwanted by Souths but decent first grader for sure when we signed him, his stocks were down when signing him.
Mitchell Pearce - Signed from Norths juniors as a teenager
Sio Siua Taukeiaho - Unwanted by the Warriors and told he wouldn't be offered a contract. Only made his NRL debut in his final game for the Warriors, after this decision and after he had signed for the Roosters for 2014.
Mitchell Aubusson - Signed by the Roosters as a teenager from Ballina
Boyd Cordner - Signed as a teenager from Taree
Dylan Napa - Signed from Brisbane as a teenager, rejected by the Bronco's.
Jake Friend - Signed as a teenager from Noosa.
Jared Waera-Heargraves - Signed from Manly when playing in their NYC team
Issac Liu - Released by Tigers after finishing NYC
Ryan Matterson - Signed from Eels NYC team
Connor Watson - From Roosters feeder team Wyong
Zane Tetevano - Signed by Wyong after being sacked by Manly in 2015
Doesn't every team poach players anyway and always have?
No you are right, he was about to be named an immortal and have the premiership trophy named after him after those 2 games played off the bench. Particularly as he was born and bred on the northern beaches and spent 15 years in the Manly juniors.
Admittedly Manly have never signed any players from the Roosters ever.
Latrell was passed up by both the Knights and Dogs. So we signed him.a couple of lies and untruths here.
mitchell turned down clubs that refused to sign both him and his brother together
JHW had already played 2 matches with manly before the roosters deal was signed.
Yeah, they must be really disgusted after the roosters picked up wife basher Zane Tetevano.Yeah, sure it was because of the mythical beast named the cheque book / brown paper bag.
Nothing at all to do with members of Jared's family being disgusted at the behaviour shown towards women by certain people within the Manly organisation.

Hahaha, just like when you are on a dry spell you go back to being a virgin.....And when he was dropped back to the 20's when the rep players returned, he had then broken out of first grade.
