Completely off topic.

But I've always wondered if there are first graders who are only fit due to going to training and paying games.

Do they do cardio work in their break? Or do a run on days off?

The fitness freaks like Edwards obviously do but are their players who put in less voluntary exercise than the office worker doing a 5km run every lunch time?

Look at them when they retire. There are some who keep themselves in great shape, they’re probably the ones who keep themselves fit over the off-season.

Then there’s the players who pack on the weight when they’re done. They’d be the kind of players who only kept in shape because they played.

Boo...

What happened to Daniel Atkinson, that would have been the half needed to be a contender, they pretty much replaced one dud half who couldn't game manage, with a cheaper half who also can't game manage..... atleast he can tackle tho
... not many halves that do that

Think the sharks guy didn’t want to move

Illas is a decent signing for the wages he’s on

Someone told me south’s are paying some of it too

Allows the dragons to bolster their roster elsewhere

This signing business is all over the shop. I know training has only just started for most, but deciding on your halves in late November doesn’t fill me with confidence. That’s why success in this game is so cyclical because of the signings turnstile - except Penrith who seem to manage to give emerging talent plenty of game time ready to step up when someone leaves for the big bucks.

What position will be play?

14?
Ezra is going to cop a decent suspension so 6

What happens if he’s playing well when Ezra’s ban is over.

Maybe rotate halves like the dolphins do some games

They have loads of nines too unless Billy Walters is leaving

Reynolds is one of the few halves in the game that can compensate for Hunt’s weaknesses.

Shame he’s made of glass and Bunt will be running the team by round 4.

Putting aside his contract value for a moment - but noting that 500/600k for an Origin/Kangaroos player in a spine position is a steal, but anyway.

How do they fit him in the cap? Oates has departed and some other fringe player, they have a lot of good young players who want and deserve upgrades as they see more NRL... for example a big upgrade for Walsh. Where the **** is the cap space coming from? I shouldn't concern myself with these things though as I'm fully aware of how thoroughly the salary cap auditors/NRL will scrutinise this signing.
