I posted this in the NRL forum...but I thought i'd post it here as well.

As you know I aint a big fan of your club, but like any good league supporter, I believe in giving credit where credit is due.

I'm gonna give Kudo's to the Roosters about the Ryan Cross issue.

For too long player managers have been running this game and its about time clubs got a bit of backbone and did something about it.

Penrith did it with Pritchard and Pritchard came back to us to talk, rather than the other way around...and Now the Roosters are not being screwed around by Ryan Cross who wants to stuff around their club.

My Kudo's to the Roosters...well done. More clubs than 2 should take a stand on player managers running the competition.

Yes BM for too long Manager's have hung out their shingles with no credentials and all they have done is screwed clubs - it would appear the worm has turned. Maybe now every player that is coming off contract can't wave the old line "but we have recieved a good offer from the Roosters - you match it" in the face of their own clubs.

The trouble is, and this is from talking to an old offical, that half the players in the past linked to the Roosters hadn't even walked in the club door or had any meetings with management. Geez I wished Gurr was back he would have sorted a few players out by now. he called a spade a spade and in fact the day he went to America is the day our club started to slide. The salary cap also hurt us. Four Years after we win a premiership we have 3 players left from the team.
