* Misses out on half a year of firsts as Hybrid pointed out, which will set him back in terms of his learning and development, because as Sheens said he is still very very raw which you can see through his hold and cold efforts over the season

* The team will miss his "something out of nothing" element he brings to our game.

* Prince might get to play the position most supporteres here thing he will do best at

* the kicking game will improve with prince and kerr giving us 2 good options in that department

* the defense out wide loses the vunerably small fitzhenry, marshall combination which was exploited last night

overall i dont think it is a disaster for our season as some of the papers werepointing out. Some said Marshall was exceelent for the tigers again last night as he has been all season (???)

One last thing does his tackling style need to be changed??, im no expert here, does he go to low??, or is it just his light frame, unlucky??

There was nothing in the tackle in which the injury re-occurred.Just bad luck and it probably wasn`t properly mended from the original injury.Benji oozes with confidence, and I doubt even a season ending injury will dent that.If he can use it to his advantage and add about 5-6 kilos of muscle to his frame without losing any pace or agility it could turn out to be a blessing in disguise!

Well at least ya got this right.Marshall and Fitzys defense is shithouse.....hopefully we can add some starch there......I wonder if Wilson/Halatau are breing considered for this week with Prince out.

God help us.
Kerr, and I never thought I'd say this but Fitzy 6...we need someone with top level experience in either the 6 or 7

I know it's only PL but Micky B did alright friday night. From what I hear though Kerr wont be available for the Warriors game.

Just on Marshall its not really the fact that he's missing from our side for the season, for me im more dissapointed for him. This sets him back another 12 months. Benji only got 6.5-7 games in this season and as sheens said on Sports Tonight today he'll come back next season still a rookie really which is a shame.

Its a pity because he and Karmicheal Hunt have been awesome this year , unfortunately its our young gun who gets set back, not much we can do about it though but hope the surgery is a sucess and that he'll make a full recovery and most importantly that his shoulder will regain full strength and that there'll be no worries with the mobilty of his shoulder.

considering he gives away 6-12 points a match in rookie mistakes, the loss may not be as bad as first thought in the short term.

hopefully this will help keep contract negotiations realistic.

and i think micky b is a big chance of being his replacement.
and to the f**kwit going on about the correct spelling,i don't give a f**k.

Yeah Benjji does have some deficiencies in his game which may benefit us but ultimately, its a savage blow especially for him and his development.

Benji may make rookie mistakes - but his can be put down to inexperience and immaturity - where other more experienced players make a similar level of mistakes and have no such excuse!!

From a team perspective - our attacking potency is reduced immeasurably with the loss of Marshall - and the personal impact on Prince is likely to be enormous with Benji no longer being there to take pressure off his game!!

As for the impact on Benji's development - it is a real shame - however it must be noted that regardless of whether he had seen out the season - he would have required a shoulder reconstruction in the off-season - which would have ruined both his off-season training - as well as any plans to place him on a weight/strength-building regime!

Now he will at least be available for a full off-season of training - have a chance to build-up his frame to greater withstand the rigours of top grade football - and be ready to start the year in 2005!

It's the only positive there is....

However - if he had had surgery in the off-season - as stated he would not be able to undertake a bulking-up regime - which he drastically needs if he is to compete physically in 2005 and stay injury-free!!

that would pretty much mean he'd start 2005 where he started 2004, so in that sense we will see at least some development in Marshall for next season even if it is only his build. So yeah im out with the negativity surrounding his injury and thinking forwards now.
