How many players are coming off contract this year?
Sometimes the feeling of insecurity can lift players or atleast the effort they put it. Watching last night's game, there weren't many players out there that gave their full 100% in terms of showing urgency, line speed, wanting to win bad enough.
Signing up a whole bunch of players long term isn't always the way to go. Looking at who we've signed and how their going at the moment is starting to worry me. It might be time to inject some baby eels into our culture. I know a few have said they may not be ready, but I'd stick Tim Mannah, Williams and possibly one other forward into the FG sids just for a bit of competition. A nice mix of youth and experience might be the trick. Ideally, it's always better to throw them in when we're winning, but it's getting to the stage where players are simply not putting in or not putting in hard enough.
