Boyd's got the Blues
Sunday 7 July 2013 5:00 PM
Congratulations to our very own Boyd Cordner who has this evening been named in the NSW Blues squad for Game III of the 2013 State of Origin series.
A huge reward for the young forward who has had a stellar season so far at lock, after being named as a vice captain of the club at the beginning of the year and also representing Country RL for the first time.
With four tries, a conversion, over 400 tackles and over 100 hit ups already this year, Cordner has shown himself to be one of the most consistent forwards at not only the Club but the NRL as well.
One third of one of the most versatile backrows in the league, Cordner has made the number thirteen shirt his own alongside Mitchell Aubusson and Sonny Bill Williams this year and been a huge factor in the success of the Tricolours year to date.
NSW will have to leave three of the named players out for the match, with Daley using the week and a half lead in to decide which 17 of the 20 will take to the turf.
