Greenberg saying they are preparing for possible outcomes from the COVID19 virus in Australia.

No real mention of any specific actions being taken but elsewhere sporting events have either been cancelled, post poned or played in front of empty stadiums.

Are we going to see matched played in empty stadiums this year?

COVID19 is likely going to be in the community on an ongoing nature now, what will the future hold for the NRL?

The players also need to be considered. playing in front of 10k or more fans all yelling at the field must send some germs towards the field, are we going to see players voicing their concerns about playing, refusing to?

As a fan, I reserve the right to yell germs towards the field.

More concerning, what happens if a player or one of the support staff get it, do they all have to go into isolation for 14 days?

If Manly are serious about their premiership chances, they’ll drive Bradley Parker to and from the game in a second hand pope mobile.

I was just thinking about this. Hard to see it getting under control any time soon and it seems likely to me - even probable - that there's not a full season. Hopefully wrong, of course, but there's just too many flights in and out of Australia from all corners of the globe, let alone those who have already arrived and will be confirmed as cases in coming days and weeks.

It only picks off the weakest so apart Adam Reynolds no one in NRL has much to worry about

Absolutely no doubt it will have an effect on the comp this season be it crowds or as suggested in the OP, players being quarantined.

Dugan will get brought down in a tackle of moderate force, then claim Coronavirus.

Then he’ll get a Coronavirus tatoo to commemorate.

I think we need to take this seriously and have player safety and welfare to be of the highest importance.

A 12 month quarantine of Darius Boyd should do it.

The NRL should be fine: It's not like Sydney knows how to do a mass gathering

The people of Perth know how serious this is.

They were avoiding the Nines before the mass hysteria elsewhere.
