no, would be a good young solid winger in 1st grade, might play for qld considering the injuries and lack of specialist winger but not for Aust. Besides there are better rugby players than drew mitchell

For starters he would be a fullback in league not a winger. He could possibly fill in in the halves. QLD have plenty of fullbacks and halves. He would struggle currently to get into either QLD or Australia.

Would go alright, but Queensland have so many fullbacks that I don't think he'll be able to climb past all of them.

He isn't even in the Wallaby team and had a pretty ordinary season with the Reds this year.

He's got potential, but has yet to consistantly prove it.

Ignorance is bliss...eh?

Yes, Yes it is. I can honestly say that after living up here for half a year, about the only exposure I get of the Reds is at Central Station. And Old Wally informing me of another loss whenever I watch the news.

i saw karmichael hunt and mitchell play union as schoolboys and can say mitchell was the far better union player as a schoolboy.

how he'd find the transition to league is anyone's guess though.

He's crap and very suspect in defence and under pressure.

As for Mogg, ridiculous decision.

As for Lillyman, bit early for him too. But we are desperate for forwards...

suspect in defence and under pressure....sounds like a certain 5/8 who plays for Brisbane.

You have a short memory, Thomas.

Lockyer - at fullback - was the dominant player worldwide (with Johns) in the early part of this century.

Kangaroo Tour 2003 - brilliant

Tri-Nations Final 2004 - one of the great performances for Australia (ever)

His form has been down but Mitchell isn't fit to lace his boots...

Try again.

Yep, you're right, GM. Everybody knows that no rugby union player has ever been any good in league, don't they?:sarcasm:

And, Thomas, leave the boys alone with their fantasies.

You’re right Woods. Not even next year’s Wallaby sensation, Ryan Cross can get a look into this level of elite football
And, Thomas, leave the boys alone with their fantasies.
Bit of tension between you and Thomas? Can’t understand why, considering both of you have a lot in common; being up Bob’s arse over at another forum
