could Great Britain screw up any further?

they're not going to change to become world champs overnight. even against a second-string aussie team the poms from the past would have been flogged

these guys at least took teh steps to make each of the 3 games competitive until the last few minutes. small steps are better than no steps at all. if the team can take what it learnt from the tour and use it in the tri-series then it will have been well worth it

just because they didnt win doesnt mean they were failures. it was the most interesting series of international games i have seen in a long time, and could easily lay the platform for an exciting tri-series next year

THe problem with GB is that there are too many has-beens like Farrell, Forshaw, Radlinksi, McDermott, Newton etc. All past their expiry date, even the coach David Waite has had his days, those days finished at St,George. Why not give the youngsters a go, the less inexperienced test players like Carney, Sinfield, Gleeson, and Ellis seemed to go well in that test match and looked like the best players on the field. People say there are not enough youngsters in the SL, well the problem there is that there are too many Aussies in the SL and some of the youngsters arent given enough experience in the top grade. If they give the young guys a go, then if they suceed, then Rugby League in GB will go one step further.

IF Australia has done it, New Zealand has done it, then GB certainly must do it.

I have a feeling that had GB won the series, they'd be labeled as only able to defeat an understrength Kangaroos squad and many aussies wouldn't have been surprised with the loss.

Don't blame Waite or the players (to an extent). Blame the club coaches and conditioners at tthe RSL clubs that have turend the GB forwards into slow immboile thugs and the selectors that justify this practice by giving them Lions caps.

GB have the game to beat the Roos. They showed that 3 times this series, leading with 5 mins left. Their own inpet working brought about their downfall. Losig culture is rubbish. Watching the matches I never felt like the Aussies would lose. I just felt GB ouldn't hold out all that time
