With the world cup comming up i want to get familiar with some of the overseas teams, and what their potential line up will be.
Ill have a crack at the french team:
1 Oliver Charles
2 Younes Khattabi
3 Thomas Bosc
4 Vincent Duport
5 Dimitri Pelo
6 Maxime Greseque
7 Julian Rinaldi
8 Jerome Guisset
9 David Berthezene
10 Olivier Elima
11 Djamel Fakir
12 Sebastien Raguin
13 Gregory Mounis
14 Cyril Gossard
15 David Ferriol
16 Adel Fellous
17 James Wynne
Mostly proffessional players with 3 years of super league under their belt
Rinaldi is now and likely will be next year French hooker, and I think that there would be some other changes in the halves, though one cannot be certain. Wynne is likely to be retired from the French national team.
One can never be sure who will be playing next year, let alone who will be playing well. But here is how I would imagine the team 15 months from now.
1
Constant Villegas
2
Younes Khattabi
3
Cyril Stacul
4
Vincent Duport
5
Dimitri Pelo
6
Thomas Bosc
7
Maxime Greseque
8
Jerome Guisset
9
Julien Rinaldi
10
Olivier Elima
11 J
amal Fakir
12
Sebastien Raguin
13
Gregory Mounis
14
Cyril Gossard
15
David Ferriol
16
Adel Fellous
17
Eric Anselme
By then Khattabi and Stacul may have swapped positions, with the bigger Khattabi (currently 99 kg) in the centres and Stacul (86 kg) on the wing.
Bosc is a great five eighth, based on the few games he has played there for Les Catalans when McGuire was injured. He is wasted further out.
The versatility of Villegas would pay off if one of the halves were injured. Villegas could replace him, and Khattabi could move to full back with Anselme going into the centre position. Similarly if a three quarter was injured Anselme would replace him in the centre and the others may or may not reshuffle to the wing. Otherwise Anselme would be used as a replacement second rower under rotation.
A year from now Matthieu Griffi might also be chosen ahead of one of the props on form.
