My band have to play a few gigs in OCT and we need to learn some covers that everyone can get into.
We play a lot of originals but these gigs are for covers only.
Anyone know some good ones?

its a kicker

It seems like years since you held the baby
While I wrecked the bedroom
You said it was dangerous after Sunday
And I knew you loved me
He thinks I just became famous
And that's what messed me up
But he's wrong
How could I possibly know what I want
When I was only twenty - one?
And there's millions of people
To offer advice and say how I should be
But they're twisted
And they will never be any influence on me
But you will always be
You will always be
If I treated you mean
I really didn't mean to
But you know how it is
And how a pregnancy can change you
I see plenty of clothes that I like
But I won't go anywhere nice for a while
All I want to do is just sit here
And write it all down and rest for a while
I can't bear to be in another city
One where you are not
I would return to nothing without you
If I'm your girlfriend or not
Maybe I was mean
But I really don't think so
You asked if I'm scared
And I said so
Everyone can see what's going on
They laugh `cause they know they're untouchable
Not because what I said was wrong
Whatever it may bring
I will live by my own policies
I will sleep with a clear conscience
I will sleep in peace
Maybe it sounds mean
But I really don't think so
You asked for the truth and I told you
Through their own words
They will be exposed
They've got a severe case of
The emperor's new clothes
The emperor's new clothes
The emperor's new clothes

Carch...have a think about the Angels. Specially if you can find something that other bands don't cover. i think, pound for pound, they were the greatest of all Aussie Pub bands. Anything off face to Face or No Secrets or that Who Rings The Bell eeepee.

The world will be your oyster..

Chicks. Pot. Fame. Money. Beer.

Carc,

I know the recent green day release 'boulevarde of broken dreams' usually goes down ok and it is sh*t easy to play.

I played 'take your mamma out' by the sissor scisters earlier in the year and if you have a singstar crowd it gets quite a reception!

Am I Ever Gonna See You Face Again - Always a crowd favorite (near the end but) :D
Parraniod. - BS
Whole lotta Love - Led Zep
A few AC/DC songs.
A green day song or two.

You'll fill in the time easily.
(Try playing and Original in there somewhere ) :D

Come up to my house and i'll supply you with some Pink Floyd music books aswell as Van Halen, Gunners & smashing pumpkins.

Come up oneday and i'll show you my original collection, pretty impressive.

Might be buying a 12 track for $2999, it's a zoom but very impressive, built in burner etc...just need to get a pentium 4 hard drive for it.

Hey thats not a bad idea actually?

I was made for loving you is pretty simple, basically just hit an open E mute it and occasionaly hit i think the 7th E fret in between to give its beat.

Play something short and sweet by The Misfits, piss easy to play and will make the crowd feel like singing along. I recommond "Attitude", "last caress" or "hybrid moments".

Oh and Ron won't like this but another short song to get the crowd pumping is blitzkrieg bop from the ramones :p

Best Cover Ever - "Hurt" by Johnny Cash...f*cking brilliant. Worth doing if you can pull it off.
