Cowardly cheap shot

Last night it was a 20m restart and Sonny-Bill was jogging back to get onside. Then suddenly completely unprovoked a Worrier (Hurrell?) cheap shotted Sonny from behind.

Completely disgraceful. Shocking. And cowardly. He can try and take Sonny from behind but wouldn't dare try and fight him face to face.

IMO this is a poor representation of our sport. We fight as equals. Who can forget Price and the NSW guy (forget his name) having a good ol' slugfest in SOO (Pricey then gets knocked out and Waterhouse comes in and tackles him)? Hitting from behind is cowardly and should be beneath NRL players. Hopefully this unsavoury incident will not tarnish our game as a whole but will be restricted to the scummy Warriors franchise.

What did you make of the incident?

Nothing in it. All he did was push him? Maybe you saw something different? Also, it said in the paper he was sticking up for someone? I reckon it's far more cowardly to do chicken wings - and the roosters loved them last night - especially Jennings

ok so the hit may not have had much force, but it's the principle of the matter. you don't go attacking people with their backs turned. it's cowardly and our game is not for cowards. also, notice how rapira then grabs SBW so he's unable to defend himself from more attacks? scum

lol - backfire of the century champ.
I found it funny when $BW tried to throw one, and then he probably thought - blimey, this fight might not be rigged...what do I do? Walk away son, walk away.

Can't tell if you're serious or not, so I'll assume you are (rather than just trolling). It was a bit of niggle, a bit of gamesmanship. He was trying to put Williams off his game. As for not willing to fight him face-to-face, Hurrell looked more than willing to have a go.

I doubt SBW is having a sook about it this morning, and neither should you.

If the opponent isn't 94 with a bad hip, Sonny is walking away every time.

In other news, I had 3 fried eggs with ham for breakfast this morning. Was awesome. Eggs were nice and runny, but not too runny, you know?

Great thread all round. Subscribed.
