N.Q Young Guns coach "Happy" Thompson warned the team fears no one in the countdown to the N.S.W 1st division final series. The Young Guns thrashed Wests 54-20 at Campbelltown yesterday but wins to Balmain and Parramatta meant the Young Guns were unable to squeeze into 4th spot and a home final.
They now meet Balmain at Leichhardt on Saturday in a clash Happy can't wait to see get under way. The Young Guns have beaten Balmain twice this year. Teams are going to find us tough to beat and we plan to be involved in the finals series for the next 4 weeks. Happy admitted his main headache would come during the week when he tries to to finalise his team. Four players from the club's outfit that defeated the Warriors yesterday, Danny Moore, George Gatis, Scott Whiting and Paul Pensini, are all eligible for the Young Guns and Happy knows he'll have to make some hard decisions. Every player has done their bit and the squad that i do come up with will be a very strong one. We've completed the first partof our assignment in making the finals and now we can't wait to get stuck into the second part.
