It was rocky 1 lite. Hopefully they can take it to another level in the next movie.

Turned it off half way through. A borefest that alternated between Stallone mumbling and some pointless romantic side story.

The Rocky franchise comes full circle with Creed.
I thought it was better than the last effort, Rocky Balboa, which at times harped on a bit too much about the past.
Creed does show glimpses in the past, but in the right context. Perhaps because Stallone left the writing to somebody else.
It's obviously a vehicle for future franchises with Stallone slowly, perhaps reluctantly, passing on the baton to Jordan. Almost as good as the original.
