3 things.

1. I have seen less people at a Penrith game and the crowd was reported at 15000 ?.

2. Good crowd for Auckland but really for a 1 country team they should be pulling in 20000 plus and where were all the fans who turned out at Eden Park 2 weeks ago.

3. Why is the Roosters still in the NRL and why don't they play somewhere smaller (someone's backyard could suit them).

I think its do with fans who really only attend event type matches or a few per season. Look at the english rugby union clubs. Saracens average about 7,000 at vicarage road but when they have had marquee games at wembley and twickenham they have had some crowds in the 70k range.

FFS the average crowd in sydney v the raiders, cowboys, titans etc.... couldnt be much more than 10-12k so you can hardly blast us for that.

There's a cyclone predicted to form and cause havoc in North Queensland this week. Too early to say for sure but I'd reckon that even if it didn't hit Townsville directly a lot of out-of-towners would be hesitant to make the trip

I really wonder how hard it would be to swap venues for this week and play round 26 up here??? I know there would be a lot to organise but if the rain keeps up the way it has been all week then I don't know when the field becomes unplayable??

Totally agree Dragons: reducing the competition to 6 teams will certainly teach those fans who don't turn up. It will be a much better competition.

Yet to see why 20K should not be a bare minimum....but I say it again....you think tries from kicks are interesting think again...it is becoming boring. The weather has had an impact this season, especially in Nth QLD.

Well that will reduce it to 2 teams Broncos and Dragons (who averaged 20,004 on H & A last year). I guess they could play each other 30 times.

When the Roosters don't perform on the field the fans don't go to games.

After they get smashed by Melbourne next week I have doubts they will hit 10k against the Warriors, and 4,000 of them will be Warriors fans

I thought you'd love that seeing as you love fumbleball.

They came in third at 18,600 and that apparently is just not good enough
(the fact that millions watch each team every weekend has no bearing on whether a team that can't get 20k into a crappy ground should exist)

We've been given a really shit draw this year, we don't play a home game against another Sydney club until Round 12 when teams are affected by origin. I don't see our numbers improving any time soon unfortunately.

Titans get blasted for 12k against the Raiders, why shouldn't the Roosters?

Because the Titans have SE QLD to themselves? Not defending our crowd but we haven't had decent figures at a Canberra match since Daley and Stuart were playing. Even then, it was nothing to write home about.

Yeah, but they also have to pay extravagant prices to go to a single game.
Everyone deserves to get blasted in some degree.
Watch out tonight when Cronulla gets blasted for nobody going to go to a wet monday night game against manly after having some outrageous expectations.

When the Dragons can average 20K like the Bulldogs (Just under in 2011 & Just over in 2010) when missing the finals and playing some ordinary Football in those 2 years then get back to us (Home Crowds)... Your away crowds are pretty good because you've been the most consistent team over the last 3 years.
