Crowds

Ok I came on here to ask for something and if your gonna bag the sh!t outta me than stop reading now because I'm getting sick of it.

Now before 2001 I couldnt go to every single game but crowds were reasonable.

In 2001, I became a season ticket holder (this is before I knew we would go on a winning run to the Grand Final). Our crowds started reasonable but once Parra were on a winning run our crowds were growing. Parra lost one game at home all of 2001. 4 games altogether (5 if you wanna count the Grand Final), and our crowds were huge even though most games were on TV. Parra were very dominent through this time. They (probably) knew the crowd were always behind them and always gave it there all.

Now in 202, the crowds were big for Round 1 (against Penrith) and stayed big until some people (bandwagoners) realised Parra weren't AS dominent and crowd numbers dropped a little.

Then 2003, Parra were totally different we went on a little losing run (winning only 3/13). The crowd numbers dropped alot during this time. But once we started winning crowds were up a little.

This year, we were bad Round 1 but sort of turned this around and crowds were still small. And we won 9 straight at home crowds were up. Now we'velost 4 straight, yes I realise us fans shouldnt have to be ecstatic with losing but look at it this way.

The team loses, the crowd numbers are down, the boys lose confidence as well. But if the boys lose and the crowd has just A LITTLE confidence the boys might be boosted.

Now I realise not everyone here can make it to the games (you live to far away, work commitments etc) but the people who can make it to the games please try to go.

Please dont give up on the team yet. It's not even halfway through the season. Lets everyone (if you can) come together for our next home game Rnd 14 against Manly and lets try and bring the boys home.

Because on Friday I really felt like I was at an opposition home ground because all I heard were Dragon suporters (and I didnt sit on the hill). Let us eels supporters bring our boys to a win :D

I am behind you on this one W C .We try to get to games when work and other sporting committments don't get in the way. It's unfortunateky the case that when a team is winning more ppl can find the time to go to games .Or maybe when teams are winning they get the better times for games ,whoo knows.Anyway it is a bad state of affairs when a Parra supporter feels like athey are at an away game when they are at Parra Stadium
( there... now they can bag me as well lol)

People will not spend their hard earned money ( a family day out at the footy can set you back about $80+ ) to go home depressed and dejected.

Also, alot of people think the only way to get the message accross to Fitzgerald that change is necessary is to vote with their feet (and pocket).

So Parraren what I'm getting at is that you wanna prove something to Fitzgerald (not going to games) but at the same time your giving up faith in our players as well
