So are the Crusaders still going to be playing next year in Championship or Championship 1? Or are they totally shutting up shop? I hope they play on as a semi-pro club at a lower level. Does anyone know for sure?

A university in Wales has brought the ground and has indicated that they want both Wrexham FC and the Crusaders to continue to play out of the ground. Currently a fans and supporters group from the Wrexham club are going to or have brought the soccer club. Something similar is hoped for the league club and the indications are that the club will play in the Championship next year.

Excellent news! All is not lost. Basically they just get 'relegated' as if it would have been if P&R were still in place.

Most of the current roster is going to move on at the end of the season and the it's likely that the Crusaders will be renamed with new owners.
All seem to agree that with the scorpions in the south of Wales a professional presence is still needed in the north so i'm pretty sure a new club will form and play in Wrexham in the north again. The locals in the north seem very passionate about the club and arn't prepared to lose it from what i have read on various forums so stay tuned.

It won't be like they have been relegated. They will lose virtually if not all their players, and if they do carry on it will almost certainly be with a newly formed club in Championship One, the current club won't exist.

Due to salary cap levels etc. I think they would lose all there players anyway. If they can reform quick enough they may get to keep some of the younger Welsh players. Going by the amount of teams in the championship, i think they will get a position in the top league.

All the Aussie/Kiwi players would of left anyway. Well most anyway. They all have gigs in the super league next year.

Hopefully they can do a deal with the uni. A good team in the North and one in the South actually puts a bit of rivalry there. That will surely improve standards.

I'm not sure were else to ask about this so I'll ask here - Does anyone know where I can purchase a Crusaders jersey. I live in Canada but my daughter is in London until next Friday, so if there are any shops in the London area that carry them, maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

I'll be surprised if there's anywhere in London that sells Crusaders shirts PCRL although I wouldn't rule it out completely. There is a shop down Carnaby street that specialises in football shirts but they might have some RL shirts too. It's at the end furthest away from Regent street near a pub (if it's still there) called the Shakespeare's Head. You're best bet might be ebay. Good luck.

The shop in Carnaby Street is called Soccer Scene and they have a 'rugby' section upstairs. Sometimes they have a fair selection of RL shirts tucked in one corner, sometimes they have nothing of any note. That's the only place in London.

That said, I'm not sure if the Cru even had a shirt on sale this year, such was the ridiculous state of the club.
