Cup Day Betting Thread

i put all my bets on Sportingbet on Mon night too make sure i didn't miss any races, or do some stupid drunk bets

i just had e/w bets in all races at Flem and Randwick since i was at Randwick races

i got Flame Of Sydney and Polar Bear up, and had a good collect thanks to Maybe Better coming 3rd

in Sydney, well where do i start? i had 8 bets and the worst was a 3rd. i went e/w all day so 8 collects out of 8 bets. these included wins from Grandiloquent, Yasumori, Viva El Rey, Hunters Moon and Four Poster

then put $100 on the best bet of the day - RAHEIGHTS at Kembla. won by plenty and paid $1.80 which i was stoked about. i thought it would pay closer to $1.40

after drinking all day yesterday, and still not having any idea of my profit/loss, i check my account this morning to see i made a couple of hundred bucks. my account balance is still above the money i put in the account to last me for derby day and cup day. looks like it'll last me for Oaks, Emirates + the whole Summer carnival

Well i got 30% of the trifecta in the cup so i was happy with that.

Also had a few other winners during the day, my best was probably the $50 on Flame of Sydney...

All in all it was a good day for me.

I had $10 EW on Delta Blues at @18's

But I had $10 to win on it about a month ago when it was $150 a couple of weeks before the Caufield Cup....you little beauty!

Overall on the day i won a few hundred.
Couple of bets that cost me:
Pop Rock - 2nd. Had a few hundred on it @ 7.50
O'Resenate - 2nd d/h. Had $25 on it @ 19
Lessie - 2nd. $20 on it @ 10
Sports Arena - $10 on it @ 30

If all those get up i have a HUGE day but it wasn't to be.
Backed the winner in the last at Adelaide - AKHA VENTURE. It was the difference between winning and losing.
Put that in your blackbook. It was 3 wide the trip and still had a bit on them, and if my memory serves me right it was 1st up.
