Completely off his dial on hallucinogens and threatening people IIRC. It is always best in public places if you keep in control of yourself. If you don't you are likely to draw the crabs. There are some nasty synthetic drugs out there that do bad things to people including kill them.

so just a sorry we beat you up, soiled your name, embarrassed your family and had you considering killing yourself.
Getting so pissed he couldn't scratch himself and then refused to co-operate with reasonable police directions didn't soil his name?

As I said before, if the cops used unnecessary force, they should be charged. It would appear an internal investigation has found they didn't. You can't just leave a bloke who's in this state lying there. Massive compensation payouts for doing your job have no place in Australia. You are relying on the opinion of one magistrate.

Anyway let him throw his money at this. Methinks he's being bled by a shifty lawyer.

I like how you describe him as being so drunk that he cant scratch himself and then lurch straight into refusal to cooperate... spoiler alert champ, you don't have the wherewithal to "refuse to cooperate" if you're so drunk you cant scratch yourself.

The evidence was clear that there was no assault by Scott to an officer, the charge was dismissed.

He was not refusing to cooperate, that charge was dismissed, as he did not have the functional ability to actively refuse anything. And for the monstrous crime of being too drunk, he was punched in the back whilst illegally detained, officers purposely walked across his ankle whilst he was illegally detained, he was tasered whilst he was illegally detained.

And then for almost a year, the DPP pursued the case, only to be scalded for their illegal arrest by the magistrate.

This is not a case of massive compensation payouts for cops doing theirs. This is a compensation payment for Cops NOT doing their job. They were in fact the ones who acted illegally, and their illegal actions cost Curtis Scott a sizable amount of money and damage to his reputation. It is his rights to hold them to account for their ILLEGAL actions.

You've clearly got a hard on for the cops, but your refusal to accept the basics facts of this case make you look like a genuine dribbling idiot. He's not being bled by anyone, least of all his lawyer.

As i told you some time ago, and you still cant come to terms with. He's going to get a very sizable payout, as well he should and if you've got issues with that, instead of laying that blame at the feet of the man who was illegally detained and assaulted in the process, perhaps take it up with the thugs in your beloved thin blue line who caused this.

Should have been another zero on the end of that payout and the officers involved all should have been fired. Holding police accountable for their actions will never happen though, their rug is almost as lumpy as the broncos

Canberra CEO Don Furner Jnr and the Canberra football community would like to thank the NSW Police Force for their ongoing financial commitment to the game.

Canberra star Curtis Scott has reportedly been caught on camera involved in a fight at a nightclub.

The Canberra Times broke the news on Sunday afternoon.

Scott was allegedly filmed on CCTV in an altercation at Kokomo’s in the nation’s capital city.

The Raiders are yet to release a statement but Channel 9 journalist Danny Weidler says the club is aware of the incident.

The Daily Telegraph reports the club will notify the NRL integrity unit on Sunday afternoon.

Scott, 23, was last year arrested on the Australia Day long weekend when police officers found him asleep under a tree in Sydney’s Moore Park.

He was charged with multiple offences incliuding resisting arrest and assaulting police, but all charges were later withdrawn in court.

A magistrate then ordered NSw Police to pay $100,000 in damages as officers had handcuffed, pepper sprayed, and tasered Scott during his arrest.

Scott won the 2017 NRL grand final with Melbourne but was cut loose by the Storm at the end of 2019 after playing only nine games that year, and he joined Canberra.

He managed only 13 games for the Raiders last season, having had the start of his year hampered by the arrest and court case.

I think it shows an unhealthy club but I also don't like what we are spending on centre so maybe a silver lining

Yeah there is issues through the club right now and it's culture.
Doesnt bode well for the future, but in this specific situation, it might actually end up being OK

If it's legit king hit stuff I can't se him surviving this one given how pedestrian he has been. Lucky out for the club as we were paying a hefty amount for him next season.

The footage is available. TBH there isn't much in it, but if he's charged and found guilty it's enough to terminate a contract if the club wishes to do so
