Have a go at this. It should keep you happy until the League Unlimited fantasy league comes around. You take the role of a single player and go through his/her career. Sign with teams, work out contracts and playing time, buy and sell equipment to make you better and hire coaches to train specific attributes.

It's really fun. I've managed to get drafted into the "Israel 1st division" for a team coming 5th. Then signed with an American minor league team...

If managing one player doesn't work for ya, try buying a team and managing 15 different people from around the world...

Enjoy...

I play for the Albury Dhawks in the Aussie 5th division. Michael James Connell. Our team has a sister club called the Albury Hawkeyes in the Aussie 3rd division and we share a forum.

I got lucky and got offered a contract by the manager there before i could get drafted. I'm on $750 per day. Too make easy money and thus, hire the best trainers and buy the best equipment, take a look in the forums for the betting thread...

Computer run teams generally use eratic playing times. You could play 42 minutes one game and score 30 points and the next you'll play 4 minutes. They dont usually play to the best of their ability. Try and get on a human run team...

I was drafted in a NZ premier league with the christchurch Fighters.

I just got a team in the NZ premier league, renamed the Northland Titans. I will probably end up playing against you soon.

Nice. If you start doing badly and will increase my salary i'd gladly sign with your team. I'm 17.08 now

No worries, but I won't be losing much hopefully :D . I might offer you a contract if my SF's don't play well.

How do you buy teams anyway?

You go under My Cyberpoints. You can actually pay for a team using real money (like I did) for about $10 a season (70 days). Or you can get people referred and write blogs.
I couldn't be bothered waiting around and missing out on a NZ Premier League spot.

It would be good to see some other guys from LU manage a team and create some competition.

Yes. It's a bug that some managers abuse and offer their own created players huge ass contracts that send the team bankrupt...

A plus side is obviously the fact that your player will have the opportunity to get the best equipment and training...

If you take a look at the betting thread in the main forum it will show you who to bet on each day. Really, you can survive on a $301 contract forever if you bet well...

My player...

Holy sh*t... a 6'8 Point Guard. Taller than Magic and Lebron?

If you manage a team can you still use your created player and sign him to that team?

Yep, I have done that. The key is not to abuse it money wise as MC84 said. Takes away from the competition. So when are you guys getting a team?:)

i'm still surviving on $300 per game. Stats are up to 17.2 but i'll need to make some smart bets to get the benjamin franklins. Atleast the computer team i'm with is coming second in the comp.
