He's already been paid 6 months worth of it so that counts no matter what. They get rid of him now it only takes about 400k off the cap, if they got rid of him before the season like they were trying to do they would be under.
So considering there has been an injunction put in place regarding the directors does that mean they can't play for points until they are gone lol.
Do you know that it is going to work that way?
Doesn't really make sense to me, but maybe it's a way to really keep the Eels away from the finals without looking like that is what's happening.
To me, tis is just like a story I know... called The Puppy Who Lost His Way. The world was changing and the puppy was getting... bigger. So, you see, the puppy was like industry, in that they were both lost in the woods, and nobody, especially the little boy - society - knew where to find them. Except that the puppy... was a dog. But the industry, my friends, that was a revolution.
Why wouldn't it work that way? If they only cut $570k worth of players they will still breach the cap by $285k this year
Rugby league just keeps shooting itself in the foot.
Let's just keep stripping points, premierships all sorts of things off teams.
Doesn't seem to happen much in other codes.
Just sack the administrators involved and heavily fine the club. Stop this stripping of points/premiership shit.
Strong words.
Strong...
Poignant, confusing words
They say he is on a small contract but who knows what it really is

The lesson for struggling clubs out of the Canterbury and Storm fiascos is the lesson that Parramatta have put into practice - cheat to assemble the squad, be prepared to write off a year, but then you get to keep the ones you want and be successful moving forward.
This has happened precisely because the NRL let the Dogs and Storm cherry pick their illegal squads. It is a huge incentive for a struggling club to cheat. If Parra go on to be competitive or even win one in the next 3-4 years, the model will be proven again.
Either we have a centrally governed cap with transparency and no TPAs, or we have no cap. This horseshit compromise does nothing but punish the clubs who actually play it straight (who coincidently are clustered at the bottom of the table, bar parra). We are either a fair comp, or we are not. We need to stop pretending to be fair, while allowing dirty money to dictate results. Choose one, but admit what it is.
The NRL is a complete and utter amateur sham, and Geeenburg is up to his shiny head in it.
