Dally M Referee of the Year

Just wondering if they have a referee award at the Dally Ms?
Cant remember it if they did.
Never been a fan of these guys but thought we need them so why not give them an award at the big show.
I’m sure an ex ref watches all the games each week and could award 3-2-1 for the best 3 refs each week.
Have really enjoyed the games this week(particularly Storm v Warriors)and thought what a good job the ref did.
Thought they deserved some recognition even if it’s only to encourage some new refs.

I hate it when the media go on about how good a ref is if they don't use their whistle much.
That doesn't determine if you are a good referee.

In terms of "refereeing", whoever gets the NRL Grand Final is considered, amongst the refereeing ranks, as being the number 1 referee.

Any awards they have are usually handed out by the Referees Association at season's end at an awards night.
