No standouts this year with several of the leaders (when it went behind closed doors) in poor post origin form!

Anyone confident enough to make a selection 7 weeks remaining??

I'll go with Lockyer from Hindmarsh & Thurston & maybe Cameron Smith

Id like to see Mason win as I think he deserves it. I hope Thurston doesnt win, in my opinion he shouldnt even be talked about in the same breath as a few of the guys who have dominated 2006.

The Cov would have to be some sort of chance for the Dally M Winger gong.

Cameron Smith should win the Dally M medal in my opinion.

Ben Kennedy should be in with a shot. He was up there with the leaders when it went behind closed doors I believe, and has deserved points every week since then.

IMO, the most consistant/best from each team:

Broncos - Darren Lockyer
Bulldogs - Willie Mason
Cowboys - Johnathon Thurston
Dragons - Mark Gasnier
Eels - Nathan Hindmarsh
Knights - Andrew Johns
Panthers - Preston Campbell
Raiders - Clinton Shifcofske
Roosters - Amos Roberts
Sea Eagles - Ben Kennedy
Sharks - Luke Covell
Storm - Cameron Smith
Souths - David Peachey
Tigers - Brett Hodgson
Warriors - Steven Price

Of those... i'd have to say a top 4 team will get it.. so IMO it's from Willie Mason, Cameron Smith and Darren Lockyer. Not sure Gasnier has done enough at 5/8 for it though.

Just my opinions ofcourse. Kickers seem to have most the preference LOL.

Fullback: Schifcofske \ Patten (Major injuries to Hunt\Minichello, Hodgson\Bowen not as dominant this year).
Winger: Grothe \ Covell
Centre: Gasnier \ Hodges \ Bell
Five Eigth: Lockyer (More by default though, am i missing someone?)
Halfback: Johns and Thurston will battle it out (Despite both teams struggling)
Lock: Gallen \ Kennedy
2nd Row: Mason (Shoe in) and ?????????
Prop: Asotasi \ Price \ Wiki \ ????????
Hooker: Smith and only smith.

According to LeagueUnlimited points system, here are the top 2 for each position (in order also):
Fullback: Clinton Shifcofske (24), Greg Inglis (20)
Winger: Hazem El Masri (13), Jarryd Hayne??? (4) <--unsure of second
Centre: Mark Gasnier (14), Steve Bell (7)
Five-Eight: Preston Campbell(15), Darren Lockyer (13)
Halfback: Matt Orford (20), Johnathon Thurston (17)
Lock: Ben Kennedy (17), Paul Gallen (9)
Second Row: Willie Mason(17), Nathan Hindmarsh (17)
Prop: Roy Asotasi (10), Petero Civinoceva (10)
Hooker: Cameron Smith (20), Danny Buderus (11)

99% sure this is correct atm. The list is hard to read though. LOL.

Cameron Smith should win it if the season ended now, but I think the fact that Inglis has (and probably will again) take votes away from Cam might hurt him. Thurston and Lockyer really dont have many other contenders in their team.

I think Smith and Inglis will give it a real shake though.

I had Ben Kennedy in the off-season, I won't jump off the prediction. He will be integral in Manly's run home to secure a finals birth. Given this is his last season, he is playing every game as if it is his last ... BK will be a definite contender ;-)

Anybody who thinks Luke Covell will feature AT ALL in any ratings is kidding themselves.
