Good luck to Dene and I hope he is a success at the Dogs, except when they play us :)

I think this is the right move for both parties.

He'll go well over there. Don't think we'll regret losing him per se, but I don't think we'll have people performing worse in our 17.

It does make you wonder - after losing Morris, Halatau, Tagive and Collis and signing only Daniella, Brown and Tupou (match payments) - where the f**k has all our money gone?

He's struggled for form with us for ages now.
Hopefully he can get back to his best at the Dogs.

I'll always be thankful for his try in the 05 semi :D

Timmy B---you are so right "where has all the money gone" you look at the dogs two years in a row they have plundered the market, Souths have the cheque book out again and are linked to every forward on the market, the chooks have signed up halve the u20's cream, the sharks have chased hard and we have signed three outside backs who cant hold down a 1st grade position and we are told the cap is all but full. I would love to see the books

It would be very interesting to see the books.
I've wondered for a while if we actually spend the full cap each year. I know we were about $500,000 under the cap when we won in 05.

Maybe they can't afford to spend the whole amount and they just say they're close to the cap. If they are spending the full amount each year then heads need to roll.

It's very frustrating when you see how active other teams are in the player market

One thing i wanna know is, how the hell do we let go of players who cleary are all on at least 200k sign nobodies but yet we got no money to sign a decent player? I mean take one look at the dogs sure they aint signing big name players but they are still signing players and alot of them and resigning players. I honestly thought once sheens got the australian job that we would begin to sign some quality players but clearly i was wrong. The tigers recruitment is an absolute joke, i think a 5 year old would have a better chance of signing a " rep " player then our staff at the tigers! :x

I think Dene is a good player, and unless they pick up Burgess, I also want to know where has the money gone.

Deano had a lot of competition for his spot and I think it probably came down Fulton or himself and I think Fulton offers a little more. In saying that to stitch up a three year deal is a good contract in these days of global gloom. Be interested to know if it is heavily incentive based.

I feel a bit for Deano -

Loves the Tiges, but had his career stuffed by super coach.

I hope the dogs play him at centre, where he plays his best and he becomes a fixture in that possy in the kiwi squad.

Good luck mate.

Bye.

Thanks for 2005.. and not much else..

My lasting memory of Dene is a game against the Cowboys at Campbelltown in 2004 when he dropped the ball 7 times. Of course, had we won that match we would have made the semis...
