Just so we can all talk about this great athlete of ours. He is a superstar in the making and aslong as we can hang onto him we have a damaging Utility player to the same build and position as Sonny Bill Williams.

His build reminds me of sonny bill but with a Sam Backo head on him. I just hope he can put hits on like Sonny Bill.

We just have to hope that Brian Smith and co will give him his shot in first grade. All you people saying, He isn't ready etc etc. Trust me, He is. He has been playing for U'19s in Toowoombah only due to the fact that no one has picked him up, I think with alot of quality players around him and the confidence he will have from being picked up by an NRL club will do him the world of good and I believe he will be Parramatta's next big thing.

Any Comments?

Oh, Btw.

When he does get his shot at First Grade I have already claimed the rights of a sign being named "ToBacko" With a cigarette next to it. ;-)

i hope your right, comparing him to sonny bill is a big call......have not seen him play but i hope he gets his chance, but really with mateo and other juniors we would need to have the injury run of the past few years for him to get a run in 1st grade....sounds like he will play divy for a while.

I would love to see him in 1st tho if he is as damaging as you say....

He will be a deadset standout. This guy will one day read the status of his DAD.Parra was the place for him. Cant wait for this one. He apparently is a big hitter as well.

"Daniel Backo to play first grade from round 15."

I have watched him play about 6-7 times and have only see him pull of 2-3 huge hits, I hope he is renowned for it, Because that is what everyone think of Sonny Bill these days.

Yeah I rememeber a video of a schoolboy game and he threw his body around a bit. Not a renowned hitter, he doesnt have to be to be a good player. Sonny Bill is electric and is a great hitter although without his passing game and build he would be nothing.

A very very good one infact. I also love his offload. Its very controlled. Another good aspect of Backo is the way he runs he doesnt lunge into the defensive line he steps and scoots before he reaches it which means he usually doesnt become dominated in a tackle. Something our forwards constantly do.

Don't worry, Myself and UTE will be standing and cheering for Backo every week in Reserve Grade till he plays first grade.

Comparing hin to Sonny Bill is risky.

A player like Sonny Bill only comes along usually once every 5-10 years. I was able to speak to many junior rep selectors over the last few years and the rise of Sonny Bill into a superstar has been spoken about since Sonny Bill was 15.

I've heard very little about D Backo till this season, but I'll be happy if he can turn into half the player Sonny Bill is (or is going to be)
